I love the SAR4 knife. This is my second one, sold the first one for some dumb reason at the time and regretted it ever since but I was fortunate to pick up the exact model I previously owned.
About a week ago I picked a real nice leather sheath, thank you Sir!
This thing goes everywhere with me, for it's size it battons great, chops, slices, etc..

Sweet! I really like the double cut SAR4, kind of had a dagnabbit moment when they came out after I got mine.

Thanks for showing off the sheath!! :) I dont get to see much of my work posted these days.

I am glad you got back what you were missing and that you are enjoying her thoroughly.

Thanks for the pics.

I agree with you about the SAR 4 - I really like the whole SAR series, especially the SAR 8 that performs way out of its league. The SAR series handle design is brilliant IMO - very comfortable and very versatile.

Also a big SAR-4 fan. After having handled each of the SAR series, I'm tending toward the SAR-4 and a Culti for my woods walks, adding a SAR-8 when needed. The SAR-6 is a nice single-knife compromise, but it's still a compromise. I think the SAR-4 and SAR-8 combo with a thin GW or a Culti is the way to go IMHO.
Best Wishes,
"Bloody Bill"

Beautiful pics! Dang I was lookin at the sar-3 now I. Lookin at the sar-4 hard! The busse double cut looks beautiful, I always kind of avoided bead blast type finishes, for fear of rust, and not being durable? But the double cut looks tough as nails!

I love the DC finish, it was all messed up looking with wood and dirt on it, a typical look after a beating, BUT add some warm water and dish soap and it cleans up good.
One thing I noticed the other day is this blade out of all my Busses sharpens the easiest, not sure why but I dragged it across my favorite stone 20 times on each side and it was razor sharp.
I'm taking it with me hiking this weekend, it compliments a G21 nicely.
The SAR 4 tapers really nice towards the tip so you can do some finer chores with it, I would get one over the 3 anyday.
DC is a tough finish for sure, I have had mine in all types of New England environments with no rust.
Get one, you wont regret it.

Congrats on a nice blade. Double cut with black canvas is a great combo. Really like the sheath as well.

l2lku2 - awesome collection man. If you had to depart from one of your two black SAR4, I`d be quite interested :-)

The SAR series are some of the nicest looking Busses to me.

A 3, 4 and 8 look like they would cover a lot of needs!
