Just got a Sarge in the mail today, and wanted to forewarn you guys
ESPECIALLY you sharks that you do NOT want one of these.
The 3 ½ inch blade is NOT a handy size, the shape is NOT extremely versatile for everything from yardwork to cleaning game. The sharpened false edge is NOT handy at all for cutting tape, cord, packages, etc. to preserve the main edge, and would NOT lend itself well to penetrating thick tough animal hides. Furthermore it does NOT have a thick spine, which would lend itself well to tasks requiring a more rugged and sturdy fixed blade. The well polished blade is NOT in the least pleasing to the eye.
The antler handle is NOT well proportioned to fit any hand size from my wifes dainty hands to my thick calloused meat hooks. It does NOT lend a secure grip, in either a forward or a reverse grip.
The knife itself is neither lightweight, attractive, or unique.
BTW, the scabbard is NOT excellently done and very attractive. It does NOT lend itself to left or right hand carry, or even reverse grip draw, and if it did, it would NOT be handy.
You would NOT get an honest review from removing the word NOT from each of the above sentences.
In the true spirit of selfishness errrrr uhmmm .I mean selflessness, I would like to help any of you avoid owning one of these. If you should see one available in the UBBBs you should not under any circumstances send an email about it, but should rather contact me immediately, so I can buy it and save anyone else the pleasure I mean disappointment of owning one of these. ESPECIALLY IF IT HAS WOODEN HANDLES. Because thats the kinda nice guy I am.
Unfortunately..I mean fortunately, this one belongs to my wife. And I doubt shell see the flaws of this knife, and then allow me to relieve her of it. So, unfortunately, its back to the sharking, in order to aquire another one for myself you know save someone else the trouble .
