I just ran across this... A custom collaboration with Florida knifemaker Steve Jernigan. Model SSJ1. It was to be in production this year. Wonder what happened to the prototypes? Will they be at the big auction? Would this have been a seller for Schrade?

I understand that Schrade was the first knife company to get a custom maker on board for a collaboration, all the rage now. They choose Bob Loveless (like who wouldn't, if one could?). I understand the relationship ended badly, but I don't know. Perhaps Mr. Loveless describes it in his new book, 'Life on the Edge'.

It is a cool one. Looks like a good knife, although I am not at all familiar with the maker. I sure like the looks of this one, compared to the D'Holder Schrades.
Thanks,
Phil
