Received from member Ikedoc today,<thanks mate>... this magnificent Schrade WW11 50th Anniversary Commemorative Bowie which was the flagship centrepiece of a seven piece folding knife set created by Schrade in 1991. <I have one of the stag folders with Special WW11 sheath..6 to go!>. These sets retailed for $2500 at the S.H.O.T. show when they were first introduced in 1991.....
The tragic Battleship Row 1941 scene artwork was done by renowned NY artist Frank Giorgianni.
Baron Technologies did the stunning 24K Gold Etching with black high gloss blade work. <Etching reputedly cost Schrade $250 and the American Walnut Timber Display Case $100 back in 1991>.
Almost impossible to photograph without a photo box set up at least my photos show the gorgeous Sambar Stag handles, accented by the brass double hilt and pommel with brass and black spacers....
A Magnificent Schrade tribute to the infamous WW11 event......
an event which brought America into the war and ironically helped our Australian Nation in our desperate plight at that time............
