Got a new Benchmade AFCK 806D2 today from New Graham. Outstanding design. Very ergonomic in a variety of grips. Many well thought out touches that show quality- like the opener hole: beveled on both sides. Drilled and tapped for tip-up or down, right or left carry. Thick liners that are skeletonized to reduce weight. Nice G10 scales- not too rough, not too smooth. The blade shape is very useful, a long modified clip that has a very sharp point that is tapered all along the blade swedge, a good 3/4 of the blade lenght. The point may be prone to breakage- remains to be seen, as it is so tapered, but all the more better for piercing. I love D2 steel as well!. Of course the Axis lock speaks for itself-solid as a rock- ranks right up there with my favorite- the frame lock. Looks like this beauty will be my new EDC for a while....the search for the perfect folder continues. This one looks close :)

have had my 806SD2 for a while, didnt carry it much, lately have been messing w/it a lot more, carrying some/etc, and really like it, a darned nice knife for the $$ imho, also like the tip up carry on mine (an older model which is up only)and how easy it is to flick it open, pretty cool knife imho, one of my fav production folders for sure....

Hi Yester. That search for the perfect edc will probably continue from now on! I have "found" my perfect edc several times over the course of the past two decades. The last "perfect" edc I found was back in October when I purchased a JW Smith framelock Evolution. Of course since then a few more "perfect" edc's have found their way into my pocket! For the past month a JW Smith linerlock Evolution has been my "perfect" edc, but I am hoping that today's mail will bring the JW Smith LDC-5 to my home and then to my pocket as the "perfect" edc for me. ;) ;)
