Hi, I am a 15 yr old and I NEED the Sebenza. So today, August the 16, 2001 the Sebenza fund began. I could buy a few right now if I wanted to with all the lawn mowing money I have earned, but I have a thing about spending lawn money (its in the bank for college ONLY) so I am only using allowance (5 bucks a week) and any other money I can scrape together. I figure next year around this time, I will be a proud owner of a Sebenza!! so next year around this time (iff all goes right), expect a very happy post from yours truly!!

K-man, Sounds like you have a good work ethic and a good deal of self-restraint. Saving for your college fund is more important than the Sebenza. Having said that, I don't think I would have the same self-restraint and the Sebenza would be mine ASAP.

You will not regret saving a long time for something you truly want.

Take care,
bug

Too darn bad you live so far away KMan.......we probably could have worked out a trade on some yard work for a Sebbie :D Man, I hate cutting grass:cool:

Mike, I was in Tennessee last year this time on vacation. I was so excited to go to SMKW and get the CRKT apache II for $24.95 I had seen in their cataloge. It was to be my first real lock blade with premium materials(ats-34). Well, when I got there they were all out
so I didnt get anything I was so mad. Then I changed my mind later in the week and we went back so I could get the Colt Python Knife. I am still ashamed of that purchase, but I sold it to buy a Buck Odyssey not long afterward. Sold the Odyssey to get a SOG X-ray vision not long after that. Now I am hoping for an Al Mar Sere 2000 for Christmas and that will hold me over until the Sebenza. Its like climbing a Mountain, a step closer to the top with each purchase.

SMKW has the stash for sure my man. I always run thru there whenever we go to the mountains in Gatlinburg.

Sounds like a great 16th birthday present!

Good going, with a plan like that you'll have it in no time.

Hi K man -- very interesting and impressive posts. You exhibit a great deal of maturity -- beyond your years, I'd say.

Would think that in Michigan winters, some bucks are to be made shoveling snow. Might get you to your goal more quickly.

Best of luck in your plans and efforts. Am sure you'll be successful. You've already learned to postpone gratification, something many people never learn.

I started off with one Knife and about 50.00 bucks i took the one knife and the money bought a better knife on the forums for a deal then traded for more knifes started selling and adding small amounts of cash 20-50 bucks kept looking for deals since i became a member i have gone through about 50 diffrent knifes and sold enough to order a sebenza last month i still have 14 nice pieces in my collection and plan to keep going till i get a ken Onion very soon Keep mowing (i like the shoveling idea ) buy and sell a few knifes with some good deals and you will have a Sebbie and more cause as we all know here the knife bug will get you !!!!!!! so the more knives the better nmaybe we can trade some time GOOD LUCK :)
