Very nice blade and great pics. It would be interesting to see you post the whole collection one day soon.

Welcome back Jules! Beautiful pics and awesome blade:thumbup:

When were those first made? I like it alot. Pretty mint for an almost 19 year old knife.

Near at the beginning of Chris making his knives for the open market. I believe the design for the Shadow style blade was actually first, off the top of my head but, I would have to check my notes before committing to that statement 100%.

For it's age it is in excellent condition. Never used just stored away. There are only storage rubs and one flake off on the coating, and a very faint leather stain from the sheath. Which is quite fortunate to find. Most of the real old ones like this are found with light rubbings from storage movements. Unless they were used. Perfect or Dead mint ones are very rare to find. The original owner would mostly likely be an excellent knife enthusiast to keep it correctly stored.

hope that this helped with your question.

best regards,

Amazing Jules! I'm sooooo glad I kept and use my Shadow IV. It is one of my favorite users. Just a great Day Hike knife. The Shadow series is one of Chris' best. Functional, sturdy, and in many ways a beautiful piece of steel.
