So I was at a gun show a little while back, when I see a Microtech Scarab. I'd never seen them in real life, and even the states that allow purchase for regular customers, limited sales and even handling to LEO/EMT/Mil. So imagine my surprise. I ask to handle it, hit the switch, and- whoa. I hit it again- my god . Haven't said that since my first axis lock or wave. So, I'm about to continue on with the show, but then I see a Sebenza a little further down... all I have to say is, though I didn't have the money for them on me at the time (thank god!) I can safely say that to any newbie that reads this: if you have an addictive personality, then RUN. It's probably too late now that you found this site, but try to get away. Once you're hooked, it's like Hotel California "You can check out [new knives] but you can never leave [the cult]". Just reporting that my indoctrination is now complete.

I don't know what it is? Just when I think I have all the knives I need, I find another and somehow, feel that I must have it....or else.

Thank God for the forums so that others understand!

agreed i love this sight and cant stop but its great for when i have questions and it makes me happy when i get answers it has helped me decide on several knives to buy

I have an addictive personality. I collect tobacco pipes (reg and churchwardens), knives, pelican cases, and axes.

I dread the day when i start collecting more chainsaws.

I totally understand that sentiment through and through! :) The Hotel California reference was a good analogy! I am that way too, as far as collecting survival gear. I have (almost!) everything I could possible need in a long, long "survival" situation (I plan to go off grid soon...), but I am always thinking... oh wow, that is reallllll handy like... I am going to NEEED that too, and so I save up money and buy it.

I think to myself though... what could it hurt? If anything, it would serve a VERY legitimate purpose if the need arises. Concerning knives though, I found my baby with a RAT TAK D2. It is the perfect bush knife and strong, but I am presently having second thoughts as far as maybe buying a TAK of 1095 steel instead. Whenever I see a knife case, I have this calm voice in my head (among the many others) that tells me, "you are already satisfied with the best knife you could possibly need." Now I just overlook most knives (I still look though, hahha) but that is it.
