The sickness...or I want to justify more knives...

So here is the internal discussion I've been having with myself for the last week. Please excuse the insanity...

That's right...all you BK-9 modding blankity blanks (read as knife modding heros, how do they do those wonderful mods?!?) have filled me with the need for a BK-9. I already have a 2 and a 11...both simply wonderful...not used enough but wonderful. I was planning on bringing the 2 to elk camp this year to go with my Buck Vanguard but low and behold the 11 has the same length blade as the Vanguard so would substitute for it nicely....what to do what to do. I have a 7 day hiking trip in the Sierras coming up next year and thought...oooo...the 9 would be perfect for that (so would the 2, quiet! Interloping voice of reason)...No no you need a nice custom bowie with a baldric rig ( Wait! I could do that with the 9...Oooo)...Just bring the 2 and the 11, for both the hunt and the hike it'll be more than enough...and don't get me started on how I want the 5 and when I found out the Remora fits nicely in the pocket on the 5's sheath and that would work great on both hike and hunt tooo...NEEDS it my precious...

So you see my insanit...errr...my quandary.

How do I convince myself to buy the 9, the 5, or any combination there of :D

I told my wife earlier I feel the need for more large knives in my collection....I guess I need to replace the bk2 I traded, and get either a 7 or 9.....or maybe 5

Oh ya....Anniversary Sep 13th, I better decide quickly

the 9 is a beast. and way less $ than alot of choppers out there. just ask trade....its the king. nuff said. chop, whittle, baton, stab stuff, make camp, pose for pics....it does it all. have you placed your order yet?

Just get both, and be done with it. Then you have a year to decide which you want to carry with you on you 7 day hike. :D

You Sir are not insane, you are trying to justify a want, instead of a need.
You want a 9 and a 5.
You need all of the Becker line.

Pfft. One neck, one necker, two hips, only one belt knife. You're just trying to complete the equation. Who can argue with math?

I say get all you can. I bet Ive dropped at least $800 the past 2 weeks on knives alone. Of course I sort thru them all, find the ones I love, and pass the others on at a deal to everyone else ;)

All great ideas...and I once I've decided which I want I can bring the extras for the guys I'm hiking with to spread the disease...I can't carry two of them...my belt would never hold them up...I'm going to need a good combo leather sheath... :-/

Only?!?!?! :D

$800 is relative... he may have bought one $780 dollar custom and then picked up a $20 "disposable" knife at Walmart :D

Get the BK9 man - there may be fish at your elk camp or where you hike!

Or you might need to clear out some small alders.......makes quick work of that task.

There will be fish...oh yes...there will be fish...tasty little trout...cooked over a camp fire...okay, BK-2 for elk, BK-9 for hiking, and a BK-5 w/Remora to try out then gift to a friend...sounds logical...right? :D

Justification complete Thanks!
