After many years of lurking this form and countless hrs spent watching videos/reviews. I finally took the plunge and picked up a CRK. Started with the Zann and found myself wanting a Sebenza 21. The 21 just came in today, and let me tell you it is agonizing knowing there is a package waiting for you until you get off of work. I do have a question though. It was my understanding that all inlayed sebenzas came with calf skin pouches. I was kind of disappointed when there was no pouch. Welp, I'll get to removing that lanyard and giving that 21 some pocket time.

Inlayed and CGG/UG have pouches. If it's new from a dealer and not there, contact the dealer or CRK. If it's preowned, odds are the owner kept it.

I think CCG, UG and some others come with the pouches. None of the micarta inlays I have came with a pouch.
Congratulations on the 21, it will serve you well. I must warn you though, the two you have are great, but, the 25, small and others will eat at you until you have them in hand and then you'll think you're set until a regular pops up. It's worse than a cocaine addiction, but in a good way :)

No pouch with Micarta knives, but I believe they are supplied with all other inlays.

Also, read everything in the box. My fist graphics Sebenza came without a pouch, but there was a note saying that CRK was out of pouches at the time due to a problem with leather supply and I should contact them to get on the list of people that needed pouches. A long shot, but you never know.

Ha ha I love the thread title, very true. I'm stuck between a 21 or a zaan.

hmmm...maybe I do need a small wood inlayed 21, or a Mnandi or a 25. Come to think of it that large 21 CG Glorious is glorious.

How are you liking the 21 compared to the Umnumzaan so far?
It is hard to stop once you start..as i have been learning these past few months...just be responsible with cash flow:)
I was pleasantly surprised that the plain damascus 21 came with a pouch....

I think you need a Mnandi for church or other dressy times, and it will round out your trio!

Carried my Um for the first time today. I have to say I enjoy flicking my knives open, but the smooth deliberate and silent opening of the Um is pretty addictive. I have already started looking at the 25 and saving up for the purchase. I have the fever.

It's hard to choose between the two. I think I need to do the smoothness trick to my 21 cause the Zaan feels smoother. Also, I'm sure I'm not the only one who on long or short drives take out their knives and work the action. Well on such a trip. I forget that I placed it between my legs and when I got out the Zaan took a fall onto the parking lot. I had a mild heart attack. I'll never forget the sound that titanium makes when hitting the concrete. I was afraid of what I would find when inspecting it, but I built the courage to do so. One scuff buffed out with a little rubbing. The tip of the ti slab that took the brunt of the fall only had a small dent.
