My new H & B Forge Shawnee.....well worth the 9 week wait. Everything about it looks, feels, handles and even smells like quality craftsmanship.

Beautiful simplicity. Sometimes a simple tomahawk with neither poll nor spike is just right.

Nice. I've been thinking about getting another hawk to use as a lightweight belt axe. How's the edge on it? Is the overall quality better than cold steels hawks?

They are NOT EVEN IN THE SAME LEAGUE. Really, I mean that.

+1 to that. Cold Steel tomahawks are good for the money and they need some modifying to become something better. H&B is already a big step up straight from the forge and the only modifying they really "need" is aesthetic things like decorations if one desires.

And with a little work, they can be made literally razor sharp.

Certainly nothing really wrong with the Cold Steel hawks....I own 7 of them and have done modifications to all of them and they are solid usable hawks with some work, but the H&B Forge hawks are made with custom craftsmanship in a small family owned forge and are a different animal from mass production cold steel hawks.
