If you dont already know, I'm sorta into astronomy. Here is a site that I go to often to keep up to date with celestial events.

Also look for their two magazines, SkyandTelescope and Astronomy.
As stated in the video, you will be able to see Jupiter and its moons with binoculars. Jupiter is clearly visible above the horizon around 9:00ish PM.EST. Jupiter ( I believe) it the third brightest object in the night sky currently (the moon and Venus rank firs and second). Its not that hard to find either. Look east, north east sometime after 9:00 PM and view each bright pin o flight with your binoculars. Jupiter will have 3 or 4 distinct smaller pins of light surrounding it. Also while your out looking, check out the moon. Most people overlook such an obvious target, but the moon looks quite amazing the closer you get. Have fun
