And it was almost razor sharp, so I stropped it on the leather-covered mousepad strop, using lots of green microfine honing compound ... and now my forearm has been somewhat deforested !!!

not sure, but it was a long time ago ..... early-1990's, or even earlier is my wild guess. But it's old enough to have the Santa Monica, CA stamp on it .... that's a long long time ago !!
