The South Fork Cabin Knife (JK SFCK), is a design sent to me by jds1, to honor our semi annual trip to Michigan for our Gatherings. Since I have not done one of these threads in a while, I thought it was time for a "Making Of" thread!
The specs:
9 3/8" overall
5" blade
3/32" thick (also available in 1/8" thick steel)
Rounded spine
"Compass Point" pattern pin holes in the center
Here is the pattern Jeff sent me, along with the O1 steel

Here is the blank, all profiled out and drilled

Here it is partially ground (this is as far as I grind before heat treat), with spine rounded and stamped with my mark

In the furnace ready for heat treat, which will be tomorrow

I will continue to add photos as it progresses.
