I looking through all the forums.
Mostly posting in General, I rarely look at the other places folks hang out.
How many do you qualify for?
I know you don't only have modern folders; variety is the spice of knife.

From bottom up:

Opinel
Traditional? You get one Opinel and your're pretty much going to get another. That's a 2, also have a 4 and 8.

Hammer toothpick
Traditional. Brief exploration of vintage traditionals. I like toothpicks.

SAK.
No one can buy just one. Just like the knife, one SAK can cover more than one forum.

Goofing around knife
Inexpensive knife to lend, give away, experiment on. Modern stuff so General.

Custom/handmade
Name says it all.

Custom/handmade fixed
Only forums I know is Traditional or Custom.

Really Big Knife (RBK)
Traditional but I suppose it can go in General too.

So where do you park yourself? Try to limit your caregories to around 8 or so.

From a knife knut perspective (outside of being a moderator) I qualify for, and participate in, a number of the forums.
I have a couple of thousand posts in Traditional,
I have knives from quite a few of the outfits who have forums here, and will often peruse their forums.

I fuss with sharpening, so that puts me in Maintenance occasionally.
I like testing and reviewing knives, so I have posts there.
I spend time in Community Forum because it's a nice place.
I like to joke in Whine and Cheese.
I like flashlights, so I also hang out in Gadgets and Gear.

Bottom line:
I'm always looking to buy another knife. I spend time on BF looking for the next one. That takes me all over the place.

8 is.like.my number for this!!
Mostly GKD but after.I post in the early am I go to the customs area and knifemaker for sale area to see what.is showing up!
I'll go to autos and reviews maybe once a month or so
If you've never been to makandr's tactical fixed blade thread in the gallery your missing out on the guy who has more knives than every museum I've ever been to or heard of!! Hes probably got more knives than Blade show!!! I swear its.impressive!! Go see!!!
Gear n the great outdoors every other week or so along with hunting and fishing
And last would be the maintenance section!!!

I am an outdoorsy guy... so I am often in the three subforums of "The Great Outdoors". (3)
I also like Spyderco a lot, as I feel they suit my style and are affordable, so I hang out in the "Spyderco" subforum. (1)
"General Knife Discussion"
is a given (1), along with "Knives Reviews and Testing", as I feel is a nice place to find information about new knives. (2)

And finally "Whine&Cheese" is also a nice place to get a laugh and browse through interesting non-knife stuff. (1)

That's about it.

knife makers forums, the exchange, general discussion forums, traditional discussion forums, I have been enjoying the French Fridays and French Regional knives lately, as well as knives and food, knives And beer or beverages, and fixed blade knives (pig stickers, Bowies, and etc) and occasionally the knives and review sections, maybe the whine and cheese once and awhile.

Besides general, over the nearly 8 years I've been here most of them have been in Whine and Cheese. Occasionally gadgets and gear, occasionally Spyderco. For a short time I participated in the automatic forum.

The problem is, it changes; which typically costs money :) I started reading the Busse forum earlier this year. That was an expensive trip !

I've visited some of the ones you have mentioned.

I mainly stay with general discussion and Spyderco sub.
Those obtain to me the most.

I have traditional and fixed yet those just sit in a box and don't have appeal to me really.

Started out in the Cold Steel sub after they shut their own down. So mainly CS and GKD for a while, then ventured out to W&C, CPK, and Redmeadow. Those are my main five.

It must have reinforcement using any of the following:

rubber bands
duct tape
masking tape
super glue
a bloody handkerchief

GKD and Traditional are my daily posting/visiting sites. Weekly posting in Buck Knives’ SPS, occasional visit to BF Exchange, Feedback-GBU and some others. That’s 6!

I like new, crazy, or just completely random ideas so it’s mostly general knife discussion for me. Cold Steel forums as well, since I have a few CS knives in the armory. Lots of friendly and helpful people in the CS subforum. Then maybe just one or two posts in the other forums.

Really looking at joining the Beckerheads too, but I haven’t gotten a Becker just yet. Looks fun over there. :D
