Hi Folks, I just wanted to tell you about my experience of meeting Sal Glesser at the Spirit Of Steel show here in Texas. I stopped by the Spyderco table & chatted with him for quite a while. I was impressed with how friendly Sal & his people were. Sal treated me to a display of how fast he can draw & deploy a Military. It's amazing how quick he can get that knife out! We then talked about which was better, the Military or the AFCK,(I was the guy with the AFCK). That conversation sure got interesting

,(By the way Sal, you just about got me convinced about the Military being a better knife.)
I had a fun time talking to him. A Great Guy!

I was fortunate enough to make it out there Friday, and I can say the same thing. Sal, Jeff and Kelly were all very helpful and friendly to talk to. And what they say about Sal's speed in drawing his military is true; don't waste time impressing him with the speed of an autoknife.
My friend who accompanied me, walked out with more Spydercos than I did, shocked me when I realized that.
I think the biggest thrill for me was handling and examining all those prototypes.
I hope Sal and crew liked the show and would consider returning next year(if they have it again).

Thanx for the kind words. The show was fun. We always enjoy time with ELUs. More varied conversation than dealer shows.

It seems that Jeff already booked space for next year's show. I guess they thought it was ok.

I made it by their table and talked with Sal/staff several times. I really enjoyed it. Also got to see and play with the new Spydies. I'm ready for the show next year.
