The Spur: A Small Knife Ready for Big Tasks—Beyond Just Picnics!

Cool design, this knife but 3-4mm thick and a bit of light jimping on that thumb ramp portion would be very hard for me to pass up.
 
We've actually been thinking about going a little thinner on this knife! Maybe dropping down to 4 mm on the spur and 5 mmm on the hotspur. Plenty of durability for how big the knife is and it would cut and slice a lot better as well as being a little lighter to carry. We're considering maybe doing away with the rear plate bolster as well.
 
Yeah, that's probably the way to go about it. What we might do is also change the angle of it too so that it is perpendicular to the grip. That would make it a bit more useful for hammering.Maybe the extra spine thickness and rear bolster could be combined into a single option. More of a beater variant?
 
Or swap it with brass......Fine looking tool......luv to see one in your micarta👍. OD green canvas and brass would be purty....😜
