Bet ya'll didn't know Spyderco made a glue scraper, did you? Neither did I. ;)

Actually, I found yet another use for the Spyderco Delica, using the back edge to scrape softened adhesive off of our table legs. That perfectly straight spine on the back of the blade works beautifully for that purpose. When we moved over to the East Bay five+ years ago, we'd left this table disassembled in storage, with packing tape around the legs to keep them together.

Long story short, the tape adhesive 'cured', while the tape eventually fell off. This left us with some nasty glue residue, that my collection of plastic & steel scrapers & putty knives would barely touch.

Enter the straight, stiff back spine of my little Delica 4, which, by the way, has performed admirably through all the abuse I've put her through.

After a liberal application of Goof Off (Which didn't get it all off; I had to use straight lacquer thinner later):

Just a couple of the many globs of tape crud:

So, thanks, Sal & the other Spyderco folks, for making such a versatile little tool.

I like the deep choil on my Native IV for this reason. Since every mechanical device can fail, I'd prefer a nice pinch to an even nicer laceration.

Yes, they do make good scrapers. I've also used the spine to deburr plastic parts instead of a regular deburring tool only because I was too lazy to get it out of the tool box.

Haha yep.... I got a Spyderco Kris "financed" by a lottery ticket.

A couple years back I bought a two tickets, and won a grand with one and another ticket with the other. I went to another C-store to exchange the ticket for another...and I kid you not, I won another grand with it! The lady at the lottery office was a little shocked to see me in there twice in one day.

You bet you butt I went knife shopping after that!
