While in college I worked in a Western wear store doing retail sales. We had a few Spyderco knives in the case so I purchased one. I had never had a "good" knife and got a good discount so it was a no brainer. It was circa 1995-1996. I carried this knife full-time for at least 10yrs. I have carried it off & on for the last 10yrs.
I think it's a Caly Jr. but someone else will prob know better. It's AUS-8 with micarta handles and a full serrated blade. The blade is stamped with the PRCA logo (remember it was a Western wear store). I broke the tip off doing something it wasn't intended to do but the good folks at Spyderco ground it to a new point and replaced the original clip at the same time. That was prob 3-4yrs into it's time with me. It's pretty dull now because I have no skills sharpening a serrated blade but it's still an amazing knife.
This is the one that started my love of Spyderco knives. I was hooked and still am.
