The spyderco warrior was really attractive and although i have search the information of this knife in these day but i still have some question on the this knife.

Question 1 the H-1 steel hold the edge well compare with VG-10 or s30v??

Question 2 this knife are suitable for the camp ?

Question 3 what is the sharpen angle of this knife ?

Or please share your experience of using this knife :D:D:D

i just a rookie , please forgive me foolish questionT.T

Thank you very much!!!

H-1 will not hold a "shaving sharp" edge as long as S30V or VG-10 but will hold a "working edge" longer than either (in my opinion). H-1 is very easy to sharpen/touch up and is very tough so you can expect it to be relatively good at resisting chips in the blade.

I have the Pacific Salt with H-1 and it is really great. It performs exactly as Spyderco states it will.

Also, like Rev mentioned below. H-1 serrated outlasts its plain edged counterpart considerably. If you have a knack for sharpening serrations it could perform very well for you. Personally I don't like serrations but that is just me.

Just my opinion:

1- In a serrated knife, H1 might outperform VG10 significantly. I haven't done any sort of testing on this, aside from some basic observations in my experience with Vg10 and H1, respectively.
2- the Warrior is not designed to be a camp knife. It's designed for a very specific purpose, having to do with military applications. Camping isn't one of them.
3- I'd imagine the plain edge portion may vary from knife to knife to some extent. They are sharpened by hand, not a machine. 20 degrees per side is what my guess would be.

If you want a camp knife, look into the Shempp Rock or the Temperance 2, either of thise would serve you well for utility reasons. You could even try the Enuff fixed blades, available in diffent blade configurations and blade edges.

Yes...But the plain edge H1 steel doesn't have the best edge holding, and for camp chores it would be inferior to steels like VG10, 154CM, 3V, and even 1095. You cannot use the Warrior like a traditional camping fixed blade because of the serrations on the back. If you did try batonning with it, you would ruin the serrations. It's a combat knife, not a camp knife.
