My curiosity got to me again so I must make another thread to satiate it. I finally bought a spydiechef (two years ago) after the detent ball was changed to ceramic. That bugger in there will get wet and not easy to clean and rubbed on a lot so it may get oxidation and damage. Making it ceramic solved that issue and was genius. Does anyone have a product that has since been updated to a ceramic bearing instead of a steel alloy?
I'm not saying the detents bearing nor the bearing in the ball lock knives have rusted on me, just that there will be no chance of ceramic oxidation if it were that alumina oxide ceramic.
