So, a few days ago I bought a Gayle Bradley on the exchange, due to a mix up in shipping, it didn't come yesterday as expected. So, I decided that instead of waiting, I will just buy a new one. I had some things to buy from an online retailer so I threw that in with the order and had it delivered overnight. I received it a couple hours ago. I took it out of the package, put some bore butter on the blade, fondled it a little and stuck it in my pocket. The only thing I cut so far is some arm hair and here are my first impressions... Every one that that always talked about the fit and finish of this knife was absolutely right. The knife is absolutely perfect. Not one single flaw. The polished liners are perfect, the CF scales are perfect, the balance is perfect, the blade and edge grinds are incredibly even and again... Perfect. I can't believe I waited this long to get this knife.

I don't know what I am going to do with it since it is so damned pretty yet screams to be used. I also have to decide what to do with the other one when it gets here. I don't really need two. I will probably let the other one go but it will be tempting to keep it. One more thing, I have never in my life of owning knives been able to shave that much hair off my arm in a single swipe with a knife out of the box. I am blown away by the sharpness of this blade. Is that just because CPM M4 or because the Taichung makers are that good at sharpening?

Also, I decided that I wanted something a little lighter than the manix 2 XL (but still big) and since I don't have a Military yet, I would get one of those too. I traded the Manix for the Military and that should be here in a few days. I am looking forward to that one too. The fact that I heard they are releasing a sprint of the Manix 2 XL in CF and S90V helped me let go of the manix 2XL. I am totally going to preorder one of those when I can and cross my fingers that I get one:) I keep saying this but I am not sure anything will kick my PARA 2 out of my pocket but I feel like the GB is going to find some quality carry time and the Military can be my go to camp/fishing/glove box of the car/knife.

Now that I finally got a GB and a Military on the way, my sights are set mainly on the GB Air. That looks like it will be a GREAT little pocket knife. Keep up the good work Spyderco! You have my full attention:)

One more thing, the lock isn't really that difficult to disengage. It's just not a knife I would want to continually open and close. Not that I do that with any of my knives but you get the idea.

Did I exaggerate? Know wonder you aren't to excited about the shipping mix up. :-)

Arrowhd, you and everyone else that has sung the praises of the Gayle Bradley were all right on the money. Such a great knife for the money! It's a great knife for considerably more money that it sells for. After having it for just one day I can now see why so many say it is a must have spyderco.

Well now I know what i'm getting as my next spyderco. A Gayle Bradley. And maybe a stretch. Or maybe the chokwe...

And the forum strikes again! The members are the best marketers, and they don't even have to pay us:) Maybe they should do a give away.

nice additions to your collection, I really want to invest in a gayle bradley in the future. Currently, my only edc is a spyderco pm2 unless you count a $20 walmart knife.
