Staff Sergeant features:

Deep hollow ground cutting bevel, polished - very lean and sharp
Selectively hardened, triple-quenched, slow draw tempered
Heat blued/colored head finish
Rope style filework on leading edge
Matching SSG chevron carving on head and haft
Chevron torchings on haft
Decorative wrap and laynard on haft
Double wedged and hydraulically pressed handle

I like this hawk. The head treatment is impressive; very cool filework. I also like the deep hollow grind. This must have been tremendously sharp, right off the bat.
What I was wondering, if anyone knows, is..was this part of the regular lineup, or a one-off out of the custom shop?
