Is one of those a P&L Statement? I recently bought one for a great price which had been reprofiled by Father and Son for a friend in France. The reprofile got rid of the tanto shoulder. The tanto is a great "tactical" design, but less than ideal for woods or game use, even if slight. The one I grabbed is outstanding! My first Busse and I'm impressed! I never thought I'd own one, but, I have to admit, its a darned fine knife!

ETA: It came with DB sheath. It's a very nice sheath!

I may have contributed a bit to your new collection niche, lol. I played in the P&L Nuclear offering and hit the 70's Disco jackpot! D donthehorse helped me re-home these sick little piglets, now he's destined to play in every 'Nuclear' offering henceforth so that he may contribute to his Day-Glow Yellow collection!!

Would this be the one you are describing? You've got a hell of a first Busse if that is the case! Suffice to say, that was one I thought would be a keeper for life but life forced my hand (as it so often does). I do agree also that the shoulder on the tanto really is an unnecessary 'feature' that really does not add a whole lot of usefulness to the design. You still get the supremely heavy-duty tip that the P&L design affords you and much more slicing friendly belly behind that tip. I'd love to see and hear more about how you end up using it and how it works out for you (if you have the time and inclination). Thanks for the kind words, my friend!

That would be the one. It's fantastic! Thanks to the reprofile, it has a great belly profile. I like tantos, but they're of limited use. The reprofiled PLS has the benefits of the strengthened tip, without the drawbacks;):thumbsup:
 
also if you hate that sawback I know a guy ;)
