A while ago the wise people at KB decided to get rid of the Zombie Chopsticks and let us have them for 20 bucks a piece. I saw a blank canvas under the decidedly unattractive exterior and modded both of them (I posted the first one already on another thread, but since then I changed the handle color).
Someone had mentioned the idea of making a small parangatang, so I rolled with that. Careful cutting and grinding to get a usable bevel (the stock primary is quite low and blunt), this one is still a work in progress as I want to fit it with G10 scales and flared stainless tubes, but for now the black scales are doing a fine job. Being a former Chopstick and now resembling a small seax, this is the Stax:
Already showing some wear, I've been putting it thru the regular paces. Did some feathering:

and the toughest, after spending a couple of hours destroying wood - slicing tomatoes:
Really liking this one. Wish I had grabbed more than 2 when they were available!
