Hello everyone!

I want to share something with you. You are most probably familiar with the "Germans are always angry and very rude" phrase that circulates the internet in results by the thousands.

For so many years I thought it wasn't true and a whole nation cannot be categorised just by a few rotten apples, right?

I'm Bulgarian-Russian and I travelled 2 times to Germany, for my holidays. These two holidays were the two most sad vacations in my life. My time spent in Germany was absolutely miserable. I was met with intense hostilities from the local population for no apparent reason whatsoever. Maybe the fact that I was spending my money in their country meant nothing to them. Maybe the fact I was polite and smiling meant nothing to them. I decided to never go back again, and decided to instead go to Spain/France/Portugal/Greece/Italy.

Anyways. Story doesn't end here. I basically forgot that Germans and Germany exist. I have a YouTube channel for Russian music and I'm targeting Russians, Bulgarians, Polish, Ukrainians, people from the Eastern Bloc basically — Slavs. Recently I got a massive amount of dislikes and I decided to go check out my statistics. Found something very interesting:

Here, you see my dislikes in the screenshots (lifetime stats)? You can see that around 70% of all my dislikes come from this one location — Germany. I can't to seem to understand what did I do to these people to always come back at me. I don't communicate with Germans, I don't know Germans, I don't speak German. Judging by the dislikes left by viewers from other countries, these coming from Germany are pure hate. I have 10 dislikes from the USA and spanned throughout a period of 6 months. German dislikes are concentrated. They're not objective at all. My lowest watch-time comes from Germany too. You got that right, yes. So they see something with "Russian music" or "Bulgarian music" in the title and come to immediately dislike it. Why?!

In the roots of this behaviour I think there's a deeper problem. But I can only speculate. Maybe it's the fact they lost the WW2 and we the Russians razed them to the ground. And they are butthurt because of it. I can't say. It's not okay to be so hateful and spiteful, and for nothing.

I'm posting this, asking what is their problem?! I heard that many nations and different religions experienced the same cannibalistic hate coming from the Germans, like Poles, French, British, Africans and Asians being treated disrespectfully.

Thanks!

Famously, in Band of Brothers, the GI's reported how much better they were treated in WWII and its immediate aftermathby the Gemans than the French. I have been treated well by everyone I have encountered in this hobby except the USPS and a couple of ePrey scammers (in the US - far <1/10 of 1%) - that includes Poles, Finns, Russians, Croats, Canadians, Ukrainians, Pakistanis, Indonesians, Estonians, Danes, Norwegians, Swedes, Japanese, and Americans.

Why do you care if a complete stranger likes or dislikes you or what you put on YouTube.

In the words of Chiun, the Master of Sinanju, "Though the dog barks, the caravan moves on."

It would serve you well to pay heed to Chiun.
