That looks pretty good, is it grippier? With the dremel it looks a little more smoother than the stiple on the soddering iron jobs. In any case I think it looks alot better than plain handles.

man, you guys have done a great job with your grips. I slipped a bit of inner tube rubber on mine and like that quite a bit, but I'm impressed by the stippling.

Nice job bushie!
how long did it take you and do you think that method is better than the recent soldier iron stipple thread.

took about 10 minutes.

I have not handled a Becker knife done with the soldering tip method, so i cannot comment! :)

I will say this though,,,,,,,,a light touch is required....or The Stippler will gouge away a LOT of material fast.

BTW, that dremel bit works great for wood shaping and texturing too, and on Micarta and G10 (WEAR A RESPIRATOR THOUGH!)

more pics, did the whole slab, next stage is some file work on the knife and tan/OD tiger stripe DuraCoat over the whole thing.

to test the stipple grip, i dipped my hand in mineral oil and gripped the knife, thrusting and jabbing it into a wood board. No slip.
