The story behind the handle

Thought some of you might find the story behind the handle of this knife interesting. A few years ago I was working on a project in Waco, TX. Got bored late one afternoon & decided to find the site where the Branch Davidian compound had been (was a year or so after the fire). Long story short: I appropriated a short piece of oak tongue & groove flooring from a debris pile (was burnt at one end)and finally got around to using it on a knife handle. My thanks to the knife's owner, Big Tex, for the following photo:

I like the texture of the soft materials file grooves. Good work.
