The recon bowie is a great knife...... sure wish I had one.:grumpy:

I think I'm going to need to buy myself a few more SOG fixed blades, otherwise I am likely to go crazy :rolleyes:.

OK, I have one, but my wife needs one........ :( ..........poor thing, she has to use gas station cheapies.. :(

do I detect a bad case of "SOG envy" ???? well, if you've gotta have an envy, "SOG envy" is the one to have !!

Robbie, Robbie, Robbie...... I'd send my new Recon Bowie to you in a heartbeat, you know that.... but I know you'd never use it !! and you know how Wildmanh and I feel about that.... and I can even hear Bad Bobby shakin' his head in sadness 'bout that.....


Here's a Monday morning SOG Recon Bowie update: the seller never ever used the knife, never ever sharpened it..... he, like Robbie, simply kept it clean and pristine and much much admired for a couple of years.
Well, I removed it from it's sheath and what do you know: it is still sharp enough to de-forest my arm !!! How's THAT for edge holding ?? Man, that SK-5 steel is fantastic stuff.
