Great way to begin ITE. This leads to my post. This is an Aurum engraving on a 2-dot Elk 110. But notice the bolsters. Most Buck 110s from that era had flat bolsters. These are very rounded. Does anyone have any info on this? Is there a catalog year that I could find this listed? Is this an early CKS or an early Limited Edition? This was the bay photo, but I now have this knife, the photo does not show all the detail of the engraving. :

Wolfdog,

Your knife looks to be a modified 1978 issued knife called Aurum Deer 18B. That knife should have ebony wood handles. The Buck factory at that time did not do that style of rounded frame/handle's and if the factory did add stag in 78 it would have the flat sides as you stated and two pins not three. It is still way cool, thanks for posting a photo.

Wolfdog, what a sweet looking knife... Love the stag and the etching... Nice picture too... Thanks for sharing on the SPS... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

Here is a Klinkhammer 124. A beautiful knife...but...the handle is too darn delicate and skinny for such a big knife.

I hope I don't bother you with old Stories. I showed these pictures the first time a few years ago. But there are no more new knifes I can show you.

Best,
Haebbie

This is the knife all of you know - a good working horse with an ugly plastic handle

This is what I found :barf: :barf: (The picture is from the seller too).

This is the Nighthawk with a new Scandinavian style handle with mammoth ivory,
buffalo horn and plum wood.

This will offset, by example, the shield printed and blade etched knives shown. I have not seen many scale "etched" knives, except for wooden 110s. Here is "etched" (lasered ?) 307 sawcut Delrin scale. It is not on my list of special project knives and I do not know what gives with the '150' or the 'ISO' which ever the case may be. My guess is, the knife is a late Camillus made 307 with the Buck factory doing the scale modifications....... 300Bucks

Haebbie, its a nice looking knife (650) ... You did a good job on this one... Old pics are great to see again... That's what this show is all about... Some here have never seen your pics before... It's new to me... Well, I don't remember it anyway... Lots of new guys on here now... Thanks again for sharing your new or old pics with us on the SPS.... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

Telechronos, that's a good looking 124 that I don't have yet... Someday I hope to get one... Thanks for the pic... ITE ...:thumbup::thumbup:

These two needed sheaths as the 470 had just the plastic cover and nothing else. The 471 came to me without a sheath at all. I still have to round edges and dye them.

This may have been a Buck or a 3rd party laser etch for a CertainTeed product-FlintBoard™ ISO Plus -Polyisocyanurate Composite Roof Insulation with Laminate Perlite. I worked for a Georgia-Pacific distribution center, and there frequent "give aways" for stocking or selling new products. No matter...nice knife!

I posted this picture a few days ago in another thread, but ITE thought it would be a good one for the SPS, so................

A couple of crosslocks. The camo one is a buildout (blade marked 183) and the other is a CodeThree (blade marked 883) with an Idaho date stamp. Another one for my 2005 collection.

Here is a newly acquired 120 general with a pork tenderloin that I rubbed down yesterday with some store bought dry rub and threw it on the Big green egg this morning about 5:00 a.m. I'm allready sampling some of the outer areas and it's about to get served up!

Very nice SPS, Love all the nice photo's folks!

This week it's the 1990 issue made for HD lovers. The H-D Superglide 20th on a 909 Mountain Bowie. I love the shape of these blades and this one has gold etch art;)
