I can tell you this...I was taking some photos of the knife today to sell it, as it doesn't exactly fit my line of 110 collecting. My son and neighbor kid conviced me that I should keep this one.
The blade is Native Steel as named by David Yellowhorse. Elk scales. I've had it for a few years. I don't have my notes handy so I'm not exactly sure when I bought it. I think I bought it from his daughter-in-law. David Yellowhorse's signature is very lightly engraved on the opposite side of the blade. It is a very cool knife. Very hard to part with.

Thanks Tony, for taking the time to tell us more about it... It's hard to sell any Buck knife for me... I'll trade, but I hate to sell any of my Buck knives...
I'm really not in to Native Steel blades... Some of them do look nice to me... I do have a few Native Steel blade Buck knives in my collection...
I like just about anything David Yellowhorse makes... Anyway that's a nice knife you got there...:thumbup::thumbup:

Had to get a 112 PaperStone with all the talk here.

Really dig the knives shown so far. Nice. Longbow, I have one of these. Nice carry. Sharpest pointed knife I have. Have pricked myself a time or two. Thanks for the posts.

Such cool knives to oogle. So much to enjoy here on SPS.

The General, model #120, probably mfg. 1967-1969 note red felt spacers, 440C blade steel, 12" overall, 1/2 pound:

Here are some 389 Canoes I found at the show a few weeks ago in colors I didn't know about previously, Blue, Red, and Yellow jigged bone. With the addition of these to the list I count 17 different scales the Canoes came in. I'm at 14 with 3 to go. I like this pattern, fits well in the hand and in the pocket. Can't fault the quality/value of these but still hoping to have them someday marked with U.S.A.

Here is an older picture of some of the others in my collection.

I never thought of the 120 General as a large knife... sort of a short broad sword! The Puma Bowie is a 'large knife'... the 119 is no slouch... but, even the last 120's available new - the Idaho stamped 'Pro-Line' models Cabela's sold, like mine below - are pretty much 'huge'!

Don't mind the tired comparison picture, but here is my 120BR with 119BR, 105BR, 103BR, & 102BR below it - for scale comparison.

Two things I come away with when I look at my collection. 1. The 120 is huge! 2. I need a 124BR, if there ever was such (... and a larger display rack!).

A third thing... the 105, 103, & 102 BRs were my users... I miss them... need some basic non-BR 'users'!
