Good Sunday morning everyone!
I've missed the last few SPS.

I just finished paddling a kayak down the entire Suwannee River (18 days) and this vintage 311 served me very well on the trip.

The most amazing thing I saw on the trip was a huge snapping turtle.
The largest I had seen before was maybe 18", but I guessed this guy was 30" long.
His head was the size of a cantaloupe. The paddle kind of gives size reference.

Eighteen days of this...it was tough! ;)

Great show everyone and happy Sunday!!

Stumps, In the late 90's I spent one Thanksgiving canoeing through the Okeefenokee swamp. It was so much fun I went back the following thanksgiving and did it in a kayak, some great memories came back after seeing your photos and I thought the paddle ended somewhere around the Suwannee canal:confused:can't remember for sure it was so long ago:D

Here's a sweet knife that was made even a few years before that. 904, 20 year service award knife mastodon and ironwood:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Impressive.

Last weekend I was on Amelia Island at the Omni Plantation resort for our once a year meeting. Rob Oneal was the speaker, Lauren Alaina put on concert and I tried to buy Gene Simmons a beer at the airport. Great meeting and not to far from the river Stumps showed pictures of. I made a purchase off eBay yesterday and met the seller near my house for a Buck Strider folder, went to a couple pawn shops and found a mini mentor, LL Bean 102, Buck Strider with G10, Strider MT fixed blade, a Buck Bass pro shop 501, 639, nitrate 110 and a std 110.20180218_004316.jpg 20180218_004537.jpg 20180218_004635.jpg 20180218_010536.jpg 20180218_014315.jpg 20180218_004120.jpg 20180218_003544.jpg 20180218_003329.jpg . Picked up a Vanguard and a strider training blsde from Dogpound .today I have to get back to building sheaths.
