Morning gents, we're off to a nice Sunday here. This week's Buck Knife acquisitions - a 110 from 1988, a 112 from 2002, and one of the new 5160 SFO series, a Buck 118. OH

It's been relatively mild this winter in western mass. It's got me thinking spring. These are some older pictures.

Thanks Armand and Armand III!!! :)

I have a Bass Pro filet knife that my wife gave me in 1984. I still use it most days in the kitchen when I'm home. They have a very comfortable wood handle.
This early 1980s Buck filet knife is what it looked like when it was new;

I went on a backpacking trip last week and missed that SPS...but, here is the view from my tent one evening just before sleep grabbed me.

I walked past this on a short road walk portion of the trail.

These knives are what got my collection started. I still think the two boone and Crockett alpha hunters are among the top 10 in my collection. I did a recent inventory and logged everything as best I could and I am just over 100 knives.... I totaled what I paid for them....yikes.
Collecting gets expensive quick.
Only been doing it 3 yrs.

These 186's are awesome knives, I need to find a 560 one day!

Here are a few I finished up this week! Two Buck 110's and a Duke!

Buffalo Horn and Black lipped Pearl!!!!

Craig, those are all Beautiful... Great Job...
I really like all your work... Keep it up...
Buck Knives give him a call...:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

:)

Yeah Craig...I agree with Armand!! Your kids are doing great work on those 110s!!:):)

What gave you the idea for what looks like a tear drop in the one knife?

Pictures of my EDC 186 and the blades I got for it...
Why pay $200 plus for a plastic handle Selector
when you can buy a 186 for that if you look around...
I bought this one for Well don't want to make you cry...
So we will leave it at that...   ...
I collector all Bucklites/Selector's but I'm not going to
pay Lots of $$$ for them... Blades are going $30 up
to $100 for just one Selector blade...
I'll buy a 560/186 first or a Custom knife from
Craig VoVillia or Buck Knives...

EDC 186 and Blades...

:)

Yep Craig,

As the two above said, "Awesome Work". A little more info on the tear drop / Acorn shaped cut out and a close up photo request!

Handsome young fella that takes after his Grandfather Armand. What if, just a random question, he runs away from you can you catch up with him say in a game of tag? I play with my three-year-old GS and I lose every time at that game...

Nice Snow and Nealy axe Stumps. Was it enough to overcome the gecko? Was the gecko tasty?

The 186 is a pawn shop find, Medford, OR, and the finding out about it started and kept me here on this terrific Buck Forum. The Covert 560 was sold to me from the hand of Chuck Buck when we first met @ OKCA during his last attendance there (unmarked box, nylon sheath, paperwork, Joe was right next to him as I carefully examined the knife before I paid). We talked and then I realized who I was talking to and what a rare opportunity I had.

Clouds forming on Mt Hood's North side:

As requested the 110 I did with the tear drop cut out was just something I wanted to try for some time, it works as a wire stripper and for looks! I'm still unsure about it. Maybe less busy of handle material?

Blade resting closed.

Blade being pushed in to strip wire.

And thanks for all the thumbs up everyone!

Wow Craig,

I did not see that coming, that is so cool   it get's two thumbs up. You could do that on a standard version for the Electricians in our group!
