Hi All,

Happy SPS day Armand! As always thank you for setting this up each week.

Here is a new knife for 2015. It's the new version of the 119 called the Brahma. When I saw a photo of this knife I just had to have one. It reminds me of my childhood, you see back in the day just about every town had an Army surplus store of some kind. I loved to go and look at all the gear and of course the knives. They always had a few of the leather handled military style knives for about $10 each. I had a few of those and gave them all away to friends. So, seeing this leather handled 119 reminded me of those days and those knives. I like the looks and feel of this knife.

John, your welcome... Thanks you for sharing all the time...

That's a sweet 119 Brahma... I have to get one too, someday I hope...
I really had to have this leather handled 119 for the same reason you
had to have that Brahma one... I liked it when I first seen it... I can't
even remember the last time I was in a Army surplus store... I got this
one from plumber Dave, in a trade... I wish he was still with us...

119...

:)

Armand, that stacked leather & bone handled 119 is a real looker. I remember when those 119's came out.

Here is a yellow congress to go with your black one. I always did like the way these 4 blade Buck folders look. Looking at the photo's of the 322 I thought they were bigger about the size of a 301. However, they are about the size of a 303 and have small blades. I almost cut my finger opening the blades for this shot.....LOL.

Morning all and happy SPS! I'll post a couple of new purchases a little later but for now I'll submit another leather handle 119. This is one of a limited run of 350 made for The Cutlery Shoppe in 1995.

That Brahma is about the only knife for 2015 that caught my eye. I also have the one ITE showed.

Thanks again, ITE, for starting this off.

Here is a older picture of my favorite Buck.

Here's a couple I picked up in a pawnshop yesterday, $81.00 OTD for both. I think the 121 is a Type 3 from 1981 given it only has three spacers and three lines with no date code. The 655 is one I didn't have in my collection and though it didn't come with a box, (did come with the correct sheath) and shows a little wear and use I like it plenty well.

She passed away Friday the 20th... She was a sweetheart and

Beautiful and will be missed... She was 5 years old...

Sorry to here that ITE. I lost my two samoyeds.within a year if each other. They were both 14 when they passed. That was 5 yes ago and I still miss them everyday. Been contemplating doing a knife from the custom shop for each of them.

Sorry to hear about Daisy.

I've been away for a few days, so decided to post some pictures of the Buck 110 that I demolished. I showed this in another thread, but more people might enjoy it here on Armand's SPS. :)

I wanted to be able to show the inner workings of a Buck 110 lock back.
This is a working half of a Buck 110. It was new a few days ago. I can't call it new any longer.
One thing I learned about this was not to worry about letting the blade snap closed. A friend once told me that the blade would hit the lock bar, but that plainly doesn't happen. The kick keeps the blade far from the lock bar. It is a beautiful piece of engineering!

These next pictures are for my cold friends in the northeast and upper midwest. Just wanted to show them what it's like here in Florida today.
I took a five mile walk along the beach before I headed home. The water in the Gulf of Mexico felt great!

My Amaryllis are coming up nicely.

And a friend's photo from the northeast.
