Another new arrival I won at auction 2004 b196-spo6 - from what I can tell the handles are walnut but could not find that info anywhere.

Boone and Crockett folding Alpha Hunter. I LOVE the fact that there's no ugly pad print on the blade. Just some well done checkering and the B & C logo on the scales to set it apart from the standard version.

I agree with you on the pad print it makes some beautiful knives look horrible.
I have the fixed version of that knife 694 that's what got me started on my collecting. eventually I will pick all of the ones with the heritage walnut. Really nice scales

Today's knife is mostly for ITE because I know he likes these BuckLites. It's my small way of thanking him for getting the SPS up and running each week. :)

Wildlife picture today was another from my recent backpacking trip. I came to a road crossing with a "Trail Closed" sign that had me detour for about five miles on that road. Here is a hawk I saw sitting on a fence post along that detour. I started talking to it and it watched me. I walked a little closer and it started getting nervous, so I talked to it some more and it stayed and watched me. I did this about three times before he thought I was getting too close and finally flew off.

Seeing Stump's pic, I was reminded of an old trail cam pic I have. From the pic after that....looked like the squirrel survived the air raid.

Nice knives being displayed today, here are a couple of Camillus era Buck 300 series that I bought this past week. Buck 311 Trapper, late version with nylon blade "bumpers" and a 319 Rancher, made on the 301 frame. OH
