Hi Armand, I love darts they make a fine game. Show us what the Buck darts look like...the case's are cool!

Herbert, I also like Corian handles on knives and the white 124 is my favorite in that material. What is the back ground for your photo?

Heath, those knives are awesome, you do fantastic work:thumbup:

Tel, looks like spring is in the air, nice photo & nice pair of Bucks.

Tel, very nice tree decorations.

Haebbie, both look very good. Should be a good material for scales and should last a long time.

Hi All,

I have a Golden Eagle for today's knife. I know a lot of folks here have one of these and we have seen them many times. However, this one comes with a story;).

Ok, back in time we go.....back many, many moons ago. The year was 1972 or 1973 (so many moons;)) I went for the spring Trout fishing opener when I was 12 or 13. I was raised in the flat land suburbs of central California so a trip to fish in some mountain streams was a very big treat. It had been a good winter in the high country that year and the spot we went to fish was called "The whole in the wall" (not sure why, guess it was a hard place to find) and the stream was full and the water was running fast....to fast for good fishing. Anyway, the next day we drove to a lake that was not to far away, Lake Almanor.

At the Lake there was some funny white stuff on the ground and it was frosty.....no freezing cold (as a kid raised in central CA we never see snow!). As I took my rod and tackle box and left for the edge of the lake I made note that my nose was already starting to run and the white stuff was ice and it crunched with every step. At the waters edge I felt my fingers going numb while tying on a lure. This lake or maybe just this spot on the lake was full of rocks and the lure would get caught every other cast and the snag would break me off about every 5-6 casts :(.

I could see lots of fish rising to the surface just out of my casting range, that along with my numb fingers was frustrating the heck out of this young city kid! Anyway, just about the time I was ready to toss my gear into the lake (just kidding) I saw the most beautiful thing. A Bald Eagle flew in front of me and landed in the pine tree about 40 feet above me.....Wow what a fantastic looking bird and the first time I had seen one in the wild. He sat in the tree above me for a while just watching me toss my lure into the water and get snagged, toss the lure and break the line. Then the Eagle took flight and dove into the water right in front of me and pulled out a nice Trout that was about 16" long, he flew right back to his perch just above my head and started to eat. I was totally amazed.....that eagle seemed to be saying "That's how it's done kid".

So this Golden Eagle Buck 110 brings back that great memory each time I see it.

The Sunday Picture Show is great as always, I have so much to learn, I think those Barlows are great. I never knew they existed. One of the high points for me as a newbie 110 collector is all the fantastic scale and verity, I picked up my first non Brass w/ serrated blade last week. WHAT FUN>>>

Ed, Sit, yes. Corian is a great material.

... What is the back ground for your photo?

J. B. That's a bison hide (American Buffalo) that warms my back at the camp fire. Why do you ask?

The corian handled 124 is one of the few buck knives that is written on my
want to have list ...

Haebbie

by the way: great SPS this week again!!!

So many great pics! Here I am muddying up the water with some blurry ones! I don't know what they call the model 290.It was gifted to me this past week and I have found it hard to leave at home!
The 110 is a BP model with 154cpm. The 120 is a late model that keeps finding it's way out when I barbecue!

I spent the day along the Appalachian Trail in Vermont doing trail work. I love using my Hoodlum when I'm maintaining trail.

Here are a few pictures of my user Hoodlum that I took today.

I took the pictures with my iPhone, but they look like they turned out okay.

Thanks as always ITE for another SPS!!

Very nice pictures everyone!!

I hope to end up with one of those one liner 106's to fill out those knives I posted last week. One of these days......... :)

No time for picture taking today so I'll post pictures of a knife I purchased taken by the seller. The handle is Box Elder, a species of Maple. The pictures don't do the handle justice, quite beautiful.
