:) :) :) Allyson :) :) :) ... ;) ;) ;) Sam ;) ;) ;)

Armand..... Nice "Selection" :)

Here is my same knife as last week :D
830
but the something new is my first 2 prototype glass knife holders :)

#1

The groove was not deep enough to be ideal....so I went overboard....lol

#2

This was much better, but next I will shorten the front upright by 1/2 - 2/3, and angle both uprights a little more backwards.
That will be way better for getting photos at a more optimum angle :)

Oh..... jb and Armand.... this week I need to make those goodies for you guys ;)
Now that I will have a few free moments to do so!

Many years ago I bought this 303 from the BX. I carried it a lot and stopped to carry larger knives.

Very nice! Thought I'd a go with a little old school and new school today. For the Old School I'd like to share this beautiful 105 I won on one of the BCCI youth auctions a year or maybe two ago. Love this knife as it, to me anyway just screams nostalgia, craftsmanship and utility. I've used it in the kitchen a time or two and it stays shaving sharp. I believe it's 440c but don't recall for sure at the moment.

My New School offering is this orange Spitfire. Very nice little folder that I just can't find any fault with. Had the Mothers Mag Polish out for another project and used a little of it on the blade of this Spitfire which is why it looks a bit shinier than normal. Great little knife and a very good value IMHO.

How about a couple of belt buckles. One I got off the bay and the other I found at a flea market.

We were discussing the odd escutcheon plate in Berts thread, showing a globe with a B in the middle and no one could ID the company. I grabbed some 300s and will use them as my photo for this Sunday. 300

You see special company marks on both inked on blades and stamped on escutcheon plates. I am guessing the inking was cheaper. It also wears off with use. Unless the stamped plates fall off they are there forever. Sometimes you see one you recognize and some are just cryptic letters or symbols. I was in a pawn shop, back when I was stupid, and walked away from a really nice 119 in a near mint sheath, with rosewood scales and brass bolsters for $25.00 but it had ugly ink symbols on the blade. I learn my lesson dreaming about how dumb that was. Anyway, look at the Remington knife in the middle, I will bet a dollar, that is a Cami Buck 303 that has had it's tang ground off at the factory and Remington inked in over the ground off Buck stamp. You can also find Winchester escutcheons in 301's and 313's. Whats funny about those is they were never put in Buck boxes but were shipped to Winchester in bulk in paper sleeves and given out to employees like that. I like the 301 it just says EEEE, like a roller coaster ride. I carry that 309 when I want to feel like a good American, I carry that top 301 when I feel on top of the world.....lets not talk about the swine feed one.......ha

Happy Mothers day everyone!!!!
here is my Wife and I's EDC, and yes her's is Bigger!

Thanks again to our friend Armand for bringing us another great Buck Knives picture show.

Don't forget your Mothers today.

Mother's Day comes once a year. Some think that if they buy their mother flowers and a card that they have fulfilled their obligation for the rest of the year. If we only comprehended a 10th of what our mothers did for us as children, and how they would literally die for us if needed, we would realize that one day is not sufficient. Mothers Day should be a time to remind us that we have been neglecting our duties as sons and daughters. This relationship is sacred let us honor our mothers.

Here is a few Bucktools

Alpha Crosslock 183ORS, rubberized handle, AKA P.B.S. (portable butcher shop), double liner lock.

The story behind how I came to have this knife: Handed off a vintage Crosslock with a champagne cork blade (named by 300 for the quarter-sized chunk missing from the blade) for repair to Joe Houser at OKCA a few weeks ago. That knife was recalled (lock can be problematic under certain circumstances) and will not be repaired so my options were to keep as is or trade for a new modern replacement. This is the replacement. Thank you kindly Buck and Joe Houser.

Wildlife near the mighty Columbia and close to Richland Washington yesterday (the tiny Swallow, it seemed to me, was giving the camera something extra):

Fish Hawk AKA Osprey:

It is rare to see a 317 in that good of condition. Very nice find.

Apple blossoms in your neck of the woods look a bit chilly.

I need to visit Cody again asap. Please have the 317 ready for me to P/U :). Miss the Wild Bill museum, the weather, the proximity to the old West, proximity to Yellowstone. You are lucky, lucky and lucky to live in Wyoming. Yup.

Here are two of my users. I am just crazy about the Model 124 (2012 LE) and 110's with NS Bolsters. This 110 was on the Buck Web Specials Page and since it had NS Bolsters, had to snag one up.
