The Sunday Picture Show... (5-26-2013)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a very nice 110 with a Deep Etch blade...

It came with the box and sheath... I got it in a trade from my son and his wife a few months ago...

This one will go to Leroy's for a spa job...

Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

I recently sent a couple of knives to Joe and this Damascus 108 custom had a heck of lot of side wobble.
Here it is like new what a real beauty thanks joe !

The second knife I am showing today I've only had a couple of weeks. It sure is 1 of my favourites

Thanks ITE for another great SPS, That is a real sweet etch on your 110

Today I have a tale of two Kaala's for the show...
The first one I handled was the Madrone Burl on the bottom:

My wife took a shine to this knife and decided it was for her collection, well that was all fine and good, so I said to myself, I'll just do another to use and carry, well when the Ironwood one was finished, WE, decided we would trade ;) so now I have the Madrone handled one back as a user :D

I am pretty lucky to have a wife who shares my interest in knives, so I never complain when she sets her eye on one :)

this little Brown snake slithered out of a rootball into my wheelbarrow yesterday while I was doing some transplantings, I hope someday he develops a taste for the moles that are abundant here...

Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Everyone!

ITE...THANKS!! You always come through getting the SPS underway. :)
The 110 you are showing today has not only nice etching, but a beautiful woodgrain handle on it.

There have been some very nice Buck knives shown already today and some very interesting wildlife photos.:thumbup:

I was on about a 250 mile section hike recently in the northeast, but after several days of 40 degree rain I decided to cut it short. I'm getting so soft in my old age. :) I did get to see about a dozen deer, two turkeys and a scarllet tananger while I spent about five days walking in the NY woods.

I haven't taken any new pictures today, so I'll post a couple I already had. There was a thread started by oregon about knives on his desk. I always meant to post these there, but never got around to it. I'll post them here today.

I know I'm seen by the critters in the woods lots more than I see them;

A bunch of fine looking knives in The Picture Show today. A lot of great looking 110's to make me drool. Sitflyer again dazzling us with his fine workmanship. For my offering I have a 192 Vanguard with nice looking wood and the famous "chicken foot" or 2007 stamp on the blade.

Found this nice 106 Axe at a knife show last year but unfortunately had spent all my money on other goodies by the time I got to this one. Go forward 9 months to another knife show earlier this year and luck was with me, the dealer was there and still had it.... this time I still had money in my pocket. It would be early 80's, 3-line pre date code with wood handles. The front wood is darker but the backside has very nice color. I doesn't show any signs of use. I was attracted to it for another reason, it has the only axe sheath I have ever seen with a snap instead of turn-button closure.

Compare the sheath in the last pictures to another sheath with a turn-button closure, no rivits, the stitching, how 'BUCK' is stamped on the flap etc. Looking at the construction differences my thinking is that the snap sheath it not original to the Axe, probably a 60's sheath, predating the axe by 20 years or so. Anyone else with a snap sheath? What vintage axe is it on?

Here's something a little different that doesn't turn up too often... a Buck flashlight. There was a whole series of them. This is a little one, for scale the keyring is just a little bigger than a quarter. It took 2 AAA's.

It does say 108 on the reverse side of blade, hard to make out.

Wildlife pictures are brilliant today.
