ITE....thanks for getting another SPS up and running!! I use a hawkbill knife like that a lot working around the house. Very useful tool!!

I have a barn to paint today, but wanted to get a few pictures posted before I start working of three knives that arrived in the mail this week . All three are perfect and come in LE boxes.

It's hard to see but the apple trees in the background are loaded with apples. They are about the size of a 50 cent piece right now.

Stumps,

You take the cake today so far, nice knives and nice pics, Congrats!

This week was a decent "knife week" for me.
Stumps has me wishing I had purchased more than one of the 124s.
Here is mine.

Hi All,

Looks like there has been some black box heaven going on this week;). It's hard not to like the 124LE's and the price is below current market value of the NIB oldies!

I think this may be the most beautiful stone I have ever cut. I find that stones with colors and patterns that remind me of nebula, galaxies and planets are among the most beautiful I cut. The scales on this knife look like a water covered planet with clouds, ice, islands and beautiful blue waters.

I just thought this one was really worthy of sharing....

The stone is from the Vulture Mountain Shattuckite claim of Rodney Frisby. I bought 70 pounds of the part of the vein that was mostly Chrysocolla and Quartz and one pice that I got 8 slabs from was this mix of Chrysocolla, Malachite, Cuprite and Quartz.

The knife is a Buck 110 and the remaining slabs are going to go onto knives for my use and probably to either family and friends if they turn out to have "new world" beauty.

I think I am going to wait until I can buy 3 Custm Shop Buck 110's with S30V blades first as I would intend to carry the one I keep.

I chose to sell this knife to one of my customers who has become more of a friend than customer now and he also has the largest collection of my works so it seemed fitting.

I love a lot of other stones for different reasons such as Dinosaur Gem Bone as I am simple in awe of how it came to be but it is a different "feel" than the tug I got at my heart and core of my being from this stones beauty.

Hi Herbert,

Thank you for posting the photo's of your 532's. Did these both come from your German dealer? love the warranty card in German....way cool, I have never seen one before! Also, I see the COA card that said these are Impala Bone, not Water Buff jigged to look like Impala Horn, the 2004 catalog said the same.....very interesting.

You're welcome, John.

No, only one of them was bought in Germany. The other one was offered in the States.
I thought that the German warranty card would be interesting to see. On the backside are
sharpening instructions.

Yes, the CoA says the scales are Impala Bone. But I don't believe it. It is definately horn not bone
and it looks very similar to the other impala bone style jigged buffalo scales. Here's another thread
with similar opinions. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/561100-532-Impala

Does anybody knows more?

It was old buck day at the gunshow this morning. shown here is some of what followed me home. A 1-line 119, a still bloodied 2-line 106 axe with a reddish handle, a 3-line inverted twinset and lastly, a 2-line 110.

I'll follow along with ITE's starting knife. Here's a couple of utility type blades, a 1988 model 811 Work-Man and a 2006 model 754 NRG keychain knife.

The scales are the darkest wood scales I've ever seen and it has a script B tang stamp

I wanted to wait before getting them but the last time I did that, I lost the knife:eek: to someone else. So I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I don't think I did too bad at 150.00 for both,( he wanted 225.00)!

Sweet, I nearly ordered one of them also. Here's the one I already had, it's from 2007. Does your's have the wood spacer between the scales?
