My favorite Sunday play date, the highly regarded SPS hosted by our very own ITE! I thank you, once again, for providing us yet another avenue to enjoy and admire the knives we have all come to love so much.

Beautiful set of knives up above. Never seen that skinner before, and love it. And that limited 639 just looks like a beast!

Today I have the Sunday loadout, these will be riding all day. The 102 and 703 combo I feel compliment each other very well. Will be having some trail adventures today, to get out and enjoy the weather. Well... as much trail adventure as one can experience in the flattest state in the country! :D:p:rolleyes:

Good Sunday morning everyone....and thank you Armand for another SPS!

I showed a Buck 110 a couple weeks ago that I had added black Himalayan ram's horn too for a friend of mine.
He had another 110 that he wanted new covers on, so I let him choose between another set of the ram's horn or some nice Sambar stag I had.
He chose the ram's horn.
Here is the second one;

I tried giving them to him because we've been friends for so long, but he wouldn't hear of it.
In the end he paid me the $30.00 each that the ram's horn cost me at Blade Show and he was happy.
He plans on keeping one and giving the other to his son-in-law who will now own six Buck knives.

Thank you ITE for another SPS. Thanks to DeSotoSky for the heads up on this uniquely handled 191, with a 2002 date stamp. It will add to my growing 'x92' collection and fit in with the 100 Year Anniversary grouping!

This was a special project for the sporting goods company, Scheels. Looking into them I find that they are building a 240,000 sq ft store in Johnstown, Co., that will open in Sept. 2017. They will have plenty of competition with two Cabela's, a Bass Pro, Dick's, Big Five and several others in close proximity. Preston

Oh my, look at all the great knives already! Happy Sunday to all. Another great day to be alive and living vicariously through the pictures of others. Thanks for posting here each week!

I'm hanging out in my backyard on this crystal blue clear sky day with my two dogs and my two new Alaskan Guide dogs, the Vantage 342 and 347. I wish you could all stop by with your knives. I would certainly fire up the charcoal and ice down some beverages!

As promised, took the Yellow Jacket to the club today for a little bass fishing. Caught a bunch of large mouth and one decent crappie this morning. Beautiful day for it!

The more I drag this around, the more I like it. The handle fills the hand and gives it great balance. It made quick work of the braided line when tying and cutting too. I'm struggling to find something I don't like about it.

Wow - what a great show this Sunday. Thank you Armand from all of us that come to your Sunday Picture Show thread each and every week.

For this Sunday I am bringing out one of the big boys. This last April a couple hours in at the BCCI table at the Oregon Knife show a grey bearded gentleman stopped by our table with a large nylon
storage pouch under his arm and asked me if I was interested in buying a Buck Knife. He than proceeded to unzip the bag and I couldn't believe my eyes what he pulled out of the bag. WOW!!! what a knife.
I have seen a few pictures of this knife in the past both on this forum as well as other websites and than proceeded to tell him that I have drooled over pictures of that knife and have read discussions about it
every now and than. I asked him what he wanted for it and he returned a price that I thought was quite over the top. Upon further talking with him he explained he wanted the knife to go to a Buck Knife Collector
who would appreciate the knife and than found out he lives about an hour drive from me so we exchanged phone numbers. Over the next few months we talked several times and he would relax on his price a
little bit each time we would talk. In the end I ended up with the knife for a very fair and reasonable price. WOW!!! What a knife. Joe Houser confirmed this is one that Frank Buck made back when he was alive.

Likely the 1st and oldest D-Guard made by Buck.

Boy is this thing big and heavy.

That is certainly a special knife, congrats on getting it and thanks for sharing. I understand that Frank Buck liked 'big and heavy' knives, must have really liked this one. Preston

Very nice James,

Interesting story, I have not seen that knife since MR. Levine shared it with us here back in 2010, I still have his email telling me it was sold and the photo's he attached to the email. I'm happy to know it's in a great home, thanks for sharing it with us today.

There are 33 different ones in that case and I think I have a dozen or two more scattered around all over the place. I've been giving them out like candy to friends and family. They seem to multiply like Catholic rabbits. :D
