Good Sunday morning everyone!!

Those are some nice CrossLocks you got there ITE...and thanks for getting another SPS up and running. :)

There was a thread this week about stag 119's. I really liked the look of those, but didn't think I would be acquiring one for a while. Well, I didn't get a 119, but I went to a gun and knife show yesterday and came home with a stag 120. I'm guessing this is also from some time in the 1980's?? Here she is;

Here is a rattler I came across while hiking the Continental Divide Trail through New Mexico;

Not a very good picture, but I came across this guy hiking through PA;

This is not a snake, but I was amazed at the size of this grizzly scat. Remember now....I wear a size 15 shoe. I was hiking through Montana and I got to see some really large grizzlies.

ITE, great lot of Crosslocks!
I remember saving up for one when I was 16 and getting it mail order. You couldn't buy a Buck knife like that where I lived and I had to have one. It was my second Buck knife and got me hooked.
Mark, nice Stag 119, does it look like Elk to you? I find it funny, that was my first Buck knife! (phenolic)
It looks like you had a great hike! What part of Montana were you in?

Here`s a 112 I`m about finished.

Have a good Sunday

Very nice start to the SPS guy's,

Your right Armand, the 180 makes a super nice EDC. Stumps, that stag 120 is one knife I have yet to add to my pile....nice score! Jar, very nice looking scales on your new custom, almost looks like some snake skin on one of stump's trail buddy's.

For today's SPS here is a black etch Eagle from the Republic Studio 110 LE.

I don't remember exactly where that pic was taken. Northern Montana somewhere. I saw the most grizzlies in Glacier, some in the Bob Marshall and less in the Scapegoat, but walked over 800 miles on that trip to Yellowstone from the Canadian border.

Looks like you are staying busy making knives!! :)

JB.....I like that one!!

ITE, Cool crosslocks, i have yet to handle one of those...
Stumps, Love that 120 :thumbup:
jb, that is a Very Classy looking etch :thumbup::thumbup:
Some pretty nice knives so far:thumbup:

I brought my 277 to the party this week :)

Not much to find at the Gun Show yesterday but this little China Buck followed me home. It the the model 174. I found it in the catalog for the years 2005 thru 2007. The box is labeled "Small Mayo" but it is named "Cutback" in the catalog. The handles and blade are stainless steel and both are titanium coated. It's a small knife with a 3.25" blade. Feels good and solid in the hand and the finish is not slippery and doesn't fingerprint. The catalog shows a larger version called the "Hilo".

Stumps, that's a very nice stag handle 120... I still need one and a 119 in stag...
Cool snakes again... I never got to see any grizzlies in Glacier when I was there... damn it...

Great knives guys as always:thumbup: Just got back yesterday from our church camp outside of Slippery Rock PA. No phones, computers, tvs or any other technologies. Just God, kids and adult leaders/friends. Took my 285 Bantam and a 442. No action pics but the 285 was used while putting up a 20 ft Tipi, cutting apples, fixing flip flops, sharpening sticks, helping with crafts and nature projects and more. Gave 'er a good work out.

I rotated these in pb and dont know why they appear still sideways:confused:

I just realized that I've never shown this one. It's the 2008 Virginia Wildlife 103. The handle is "walnut" and although the blade etch looks grey in the photo, it's actually a very subtle gold. The mirror polished blade is engraved 539 of 600 on the other side. I think the box itself is very cool too and low and behold, it's actually made in the U.S.A.

Love that 103, I have a soft place ( avery small one ) in my heart for birds of prey, especially hawks and owls.

Thanks Matt. I also have a soft spot for them ever since my wife hatched and raised a clutch of Barn owls years ago. Here's some pretty poor shots of a couple of them as babies and then later as adults. I had Leesa Martin do a schrimshawed knife about them using some of the other photos.
