The Sunday Picture Show... (8-14-2011)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a Buck 560\ (94) with a purple blade and handle... This is the only one I have ever seen like it... It's very hard to take a good picture of it... It's purple and sweet...

Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

Nice knife, ITE!!

This time my SPS knife is not a Buck. Last summer I found a knifeblade in a wood near Berlin. It is a blade from a kid's knife, made in GDR. Low value, broken tip, just a worthless GDR- production. Only the steel itself is not too bad. Last weekend I took the Blade to give it a new life. And that is what I got out.

Best, Haebbie

P.S.: Try to dig out a picture from the original GDR-knife

It is quite likely that the knife looked like this before.

telcontar, very nice AG 110s you have... I love the stag and like the 300s too...
Thanks for sharing... ITE ...

Have skipped the SPS a couple of weeks for lack of anything new or odd to show. So went back into the archives and dragged this one out.

Back in the 70's one of the Winchester Reps worked with Buck on some pocket knives to give as employee awards. First year 301, second year 311. About 900 were delieverd each year. Camillus made with special Winchester shield in place of the knife bolt and hammer. Tang is BUCK, 301 (311), U.S.A. You see them for sale now and then but not commonly. Don't pay a outlandish price. Several fourmites have one or both, stimulated I hope from long ago postings about them. Feels funny to say 'Here is blast from the past' on something I posted back when......300Bucks

ITE, that is a very nice looking knife, I can see the color in the handle, but blades can be a bit like kids, as soon as the camera comes out they stop doing what you wanted to get a picture of. Haebbie, nice work as always, that blade was lucky to be spotted by you. I think that it is happier in its new handle than the origional artificial stag. 2TonyB, thanks for the pic, and introducing me to Pope and Young. Telcontar, great pics, I especially like the stag handled AG 110.

Well, I guess vanity took over this last week because the 110 I was going to satin finish ended up with a mirror finish instead. (It really isn't all my fault, when you have 2500 grit sandpaper lying around you've got to use it somehow)

Hi All,

Another super SPS going this week, thanks to all for posting. I for one don't mind seeing knives you all have posted before, old photos or new photos of the same knife in a different pose.

Before I drop in the next set of Duke 500's.....how about a few art type figures.
My wife's late Grandfather Thomas Brooks was quite the artist and craftsman. He hand carved this out one block of wood.

This one my daughter made for me. It's Hoyt at his anvil (made from clay just for me!).

ITE great pictures, and sweet knife. Habbie great work on the knife, it looks better than what the original does. 2TonyB Love the BG42 finger groove 110. telcontar great looking AG 110's, espically the stag. 300Bucks thank you for the 300's, I never get tired of hearing or reading about the 300's, and you all ways show some great ones. CoyotePhisics great job on the 119, good pictures also.jb your wifes late grandfather was extremly talented, and your daughter is doing some great work also. Love those 500's that you have been posting. Here is some thing a little bit different this SPS, it is a four dot 110 though.

I had found this one on the bay a few years back. Thanks for looking. HL

Here is another Buck Scoutlite that's also a little different, and a whole lot plainer than ITE's. This one has an ordinary 422 blade instead of the 412 BSA etched blade. I always wondered if it was a warranty blade replacement or a buildout. My first Buck knife was a 422 and still carry it. I love the red handles on the Scoutlite and if I ever add a proper 412 to my collection I would change this one to a user.

I didn't say Heabbie made me a knife, but he was instrumental in my procuring this specimen for my collection. Since I'm not sure if I can say what it coat me, let's just say it wasn't cheap.

What's funny is the box says 2008, but it has no date code. The box also has a sticker that states" Not for sale in the US or CANADA". Joe Houser told me that there were some made for a dealer in the US and looking to see if there is anyway to differenciate between the two.

Yes, it was not cheap. The weak Dollar did its job. But I made my deal of the year! After shipping I had 5 cent left. Or 10? Mitch, I hope you like the pigsticker

Best, Haebbie

top down are shown :
705,709,506, and 565 mini titanium.
705 was never caried but the other three have all been EDC'd at various times.
ITE's opening shot got me thinking about the little one ...

ITE T like your purple 560 with the 110 blade; make a cool looking FrankenBuck. Another nice custom job from Haebbie, you should be selling knives on the side;). Love that BG42 in your custom FG 110 2tonyB. I always love the AG110s telcon they are my most used Buck knives. Nice Winnys 300, those do exist. CP nice shinny 119; love those outdoor shots. I4 I wonder what the "LSS star" stands for on your 4dot? EEE very nice bunch of EDCs for sure. Desoto love that red scoutlite, I need to find one of those things. Mitch how cool of haebbie to fill your need with that BIG "Pig Sticker"!

Here is a blade I picked up, ITE likes these blades. This one never had an edge put on it.

jb I have been wondering about that since I first bought it.
I thought that I had seen something about it once, but was looking up information about something else so did not fully click at the time. By the way that is a great looking blade. HL
