The Sunday Picture Show... (9-15-2013)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a sweet 317 that I got from my son and his wife in a trade... That they got from a small collection we went half on a few weeks ago... I just got a 317 from them last time we went halves on a collection... But this one is different... Have a look... This one is a hard one to find, I guess... I don't know anything about it... Maybe someone can give me some more info about it...

Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

Thank you, Armand, for another SPS. Here are some more small ones. My "silver mine".

Wow another week has passed us by, and the day's are getting shorter as it's 0624 and still dark outside. A big thank you to Armand for getting this SPS started for us each week!

Ok time to add a little gold to today's show. This is a very uncommon 110, it has some super nice stag scales IMO.

First Vanguard, 1991 date code. Vanguard hit the stores in late 1991.
The coloration is storage film on the blade. Some came off when I hit the brass.

First 402 Akonua, 3-line inverted. I'm guessing late 1971 or early 1972. The Akonua was introduced just before the change from inverted to upright. There are no 2-line Akonuas.

Larry Oden Did a short piece on the 317 Trailblazer in the March 2005 Newsletter. I don't recall when they first came out but were in the Buck catalog thru 1989. I know I've got a 317 somewhere, I need to find it and check the blades.... /Roger

Thanks Roger, for the info... Here's the 317 I got in the first trade from my Son and his wife...

Hi Armand,

This one is nice for sure, it was born in 1988 and is one of only four made. If anyone can find an extra blade somewhere you can ;).

Great show as always fellas. No wander I never see one of those 124 inverted 3 lines. I've been slowly trying to accumulate them all and never see that one.

I'll stick with the 317 theme, picked one up a week or so ago to have as a user. Got it and it was dead dull with some dremel or wheel marks on it. She's shaving sharp now but will have to go in to the spa to clean the blade faces up.

2TonyB, nice set up... I like that 110...

Haebbie, that's some sweet silver...

S Knifeworks, very nice 124... I think I have that one... I need to look through some old pics to see if I do have one in my collection...

Humppa, that's a cool picture of your 300 knife... What model is it...

Kisatchie, nice FG 110... Cool Picture of that spider wasp... My sister could use him to take care of her pet...

DeSotoSky, I have to say I didn't like the Vanguard at first... ... But now I do... :) Every time I see you post one I want to buy more...
That 402 Akonua of your is sweet... I don't have the first one yet... Someday... ;)

Fritz, good pictures of your 317s... Have you used it yet... Thanks for sharing...

What a Great Show so far... Thanks for sharing... Keep the pictures coming...

Buck Tempest 296 with ASAP opening assist, liner lock, skeletonized aluminum handle, safety lock switch, Bos ATS-34 blade steel and oh so cool lanyard.

Life is short. Scratch that itch ASAP:

Cant believe that I never posted the 110 inverted 3 liner I got a month ago. Thought I really did spectacular as it will clean up real nice after the spa, but when I got it, found it had a reground tip:( Oh well, still a pretty rare knife that I am thrilled to have. Can always search for a better one now that I have one to work with. Thats the fun right:thumbup: :D

The other inverted 3 liners
