Nice looking knife you have there ITE....and thank you for getting another SPS up and running!!

Here is a lonely photo of my Paradigm Pro at the end of it's journey on the Mountains to Sea Trail In NC. It was taken at the official end of the Trail on top of the highest sand dune in the east....Jockey's Ridge on the Outerbanks of NC. Kind of sad this adventure is over.

I was asked to post a picture of my touring bike that I used for the road portion of this Trail, so here it is along with me in front of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. I have over 18,000 touring miles of that bicycle.

I didn't see many live snakes on this trip. Here is an unfortunate bugger I came across on my bicycle.

It was a good trip. The Paradigm Pro is going to continue it's journey with a new owner. I'm giving it to a friend who was very impressed with it.

I should be home for the next SPS, so I can post some other Buck knives finally. :)

I added a couple to my collection in the last week, a circa 1980 Buck 309 from an antique/collectible store and a 1997 date coded Buck 119 from a pawn shop. Both are in virtually new condition, bought and kept, but not used or abused by their previous owners.

Stumps,

You should have skinned that copperhead, bet you could have cast it in some clear arcylic made some scales for a new Paradigm.

Cut the heads off first......300

I found this very nice Buck 639 at the gun show last month. Price asked, price paid...$25. On the way home from the gun show I found this 1997 Honda 1100 Shadow with only 1,100 original miles. Mindful that one should always be on the lookout for interesting objects to use when photographing our knives I bought it on impulse. Didn't get grounded.....huh.... Haven't been on a motorcycle since I was 35.... I'm not finding the cruiser style feet forward seating position very comfortable. I think the knife does look prettier when photographed with the new display stand though.

Roger, great knife and for $25 bucks is a steel. I've been looking for one but they are outrageous on the Bay...

Happy Birthday Armand! Thanks for setting us up with your SPS each week you old dog;)

It will be a little above 100 degrees here today in the typical CA Indian summer, top that off with a full moon and I'm sure the cops had their hands full of fools all night:eek:....LOL. Anyone out there having fall weather yet? Here is a big honking folder the 307, I just love the size of this one.

I'm getting ready to head out on the Appalachian Trail up here in VT and do some trail maintenance...it's 50 degrees, foggy and beautiful reds and yellows in the trees. I probably won't even work up a sweat. ;)

Nobody wanted this knife on the bay so I got it for .99 and $4 shipping. I did a few hours cleanup on it and am not done yet. It is a two dot, brass blade pivot pin and large head scale rivets. Need to look at the chart to get the date.

I've been grading the 124s and finally picked a user. It has taken me months. They are all so very very good. I've marked this one in a subtle manner so I don't know if you can tell it is a user or not. :)

Great pics of some beautiful and interestiing blades!

I'll humbly submit these photos (sorry for the crappy cellphone pics) of three 500 models I pickup up yesterday.

Model 500 with scrimshaw duck scenes. These are I believe two out of a series of three, both are in the two digit range out of 2000, NIB with all shipping accessories, etc. I didn't realize it until I was taking the photos that one of the display cases is longer and has the profile of a 110 in the bottom. The other is the exact size of the 500. Did Buck do that from time to time?

This is a King Charles 525 that I believe Buck only made about 1500-1600 of in the early to mid 1990's. While I'm not a huge fan of bare-butt designs this one is very nice and even though it too is NIB I may have to carry it. Love the sheath.

These three are really my first 500 model Bucks but I think I'll be getting more as I really like them. The two scrimshaw models are going into their display cases and going up on the wall in my den/office.

Thanks again for another great SPS ITE...Nice 422 ya' got there:thumbup:
edbeau, I love to get 'em in that kinda shape and price range
Stumps, sounds like you had an awesome adventure in NC! There doesn't seem to be much love for snakes down here, they will swerve out of their way to hit them in the roads.
jb4570, that is a Big Beauty ya' got there. I really like the 307

Here are a couple that have seen a bit of use this summer. The Bucklite is handy around the yard and garden, if it gets gritty a little rinse and WD40 and she's good to go

IMG_2672.jpg

The 345 Vantage I decided to EDC carry about a month back. I have grown quite fond of this blade shape and the clip is very secure. These things glide through cardboard :D

IMG_2674.jpg

Here's my latest 110...it's a WIP...I'm tempted to put a cpm154 blade in it to give that steel a good tryout.

IMG_2677.jpg

now I've got to go clean up a big pile of brass dust in my workshop;)

Hi BH,
You are missing the Mallards form that set. I only have the one you are missing (PM me). The Scrim 500's are fantastic looking knives.

you know its funny, i've never owned a 110 or 112, i always thought they would be too heavy
now all of a sudden these 422's are showing up and looking awfully handy (and probably alot lighter)
pretty sweet, just one question, are the 422's linerless or do they have liners and i just cant see them?

oh and to stay on topic my 2 bucks :p
