I decided for today I'd post a few photos showing the knives I've put to use over the years, or in a couple cases, knives I've purchased for use but have not put to use yet.

Old and new. Back in 1972, I didn't know that Buck would personalize knives by etching the blade. I personalized this 301 with a red hot wire placed on the scale. The knife got a lot of use; 440A steel.
The BCCI 119 Special has not seen much use yet, but it will in the near future; S30V steel. Yes, the bottom WBC Wolf is a user; with 420HC steel. Great little pocket knife.

I love those Signature Canoes. The spear tip blade is 154CM, the razor is S30V with Chuck Buck's signature. What a great lightweight pocket knife! It's about 3 1/4" closed. The Mastodon scales have yellowed on the one I've used. I liked it so much I bought the other as a backup.
The Jaguar Kalinga is actually a kitchen knife. I use it to chop vegetables and slice pizza. It gets a lot of use; 420HC. It's a beautiful design with a wave-like crest on the backbone. (It looks like there's a bump on the tang at the guard, but that's just the reflection off the brass, it's really a very smooth transition along the spine.)

The Gen 5 (154 CM) I bought as a user, but it hasn't seen much use. The rubber handle Vanguard does it all for me and is a better fit in my hand. (I do like the Gen 5's sheath.) I like the rubber handle Vanguard (ATS-34) better than the glassy handled Alaskan Guide (S30V).
The Smokey Mountain Rendezvous S30V Olive canvas Micarta 110 is a camp knife. It reminds me of the olive canvas muslin tents I used to camp in as a kid.

Here's the bunch of them. A build-out 105; 420HC. S30V G10 Vantage. A forged 440C Woodsman (that's paper on the blade, not a ding. It's now a letter opener.) Two Macassar ebony 440C 110's. I have 6 Alaskan Guide Sambar stag 110's (S30V), this is one of two users. The folding Kalinga does not have that crested wave form of the fixed blade Kalinga. Not good for the kitchen, best for skinning. A black Diamondwood 110 w 154CM steel. Yes, the blood jasper arrowhead w water buffalo scales (420HC) is a user. The Custom Shop S30V 110 with the name "Growlie" on the bolster has seen a lot of use. One of my favorites. I ordered that when my Husky died, he was my shadow for 13+ years. Growlie was his nickname. An Al Buck Walmart special, I have a few of those (420HC). That's a kick-ass 295 (420HC) single-hand opener. I won it years ago in a contest on this forum. Press the lever and it snaps into an open locked position. And the BCCI drop point 110 has seen a lot of use. I sharpen my own S30V's but I don't always keep the original angle on the edge.

A slightly closer look at some of them.

It is always nice to read the stories to the knives. I don't have interesting Buck knife stories because I am only a collector. But may be, collector stories are stories too. My very first special edition Buck knife was the California Condor of the 500 Duke Bird of prey series. Thank you, Armand, for the chance to publish the pictures at your Picture Show.

For the Show: her are the two seies: the three waterfowls an the four birds of prey. Thanks for looking [emoji4].

Pics of knives in use, fulfilling their purpose, are always nice.

Here's a few of mine from a couple of weeks ago when I took my two-liner 110 along to spend some cabin life and do a bit of work. Pics are a little rubbish, taken with a phone, but nevermind.

It was this one, here all clean and polished:

Then, putting some signs of use and patina on it again. Gutting fish, doing food prep and just generally cutting all manner of stuff.

No complaints and an absolute pleasure to use, as one might expect! :)

Cool start to the SPS with some nice knives - I like the stories as well as the pictures. I collect some knives and use some knives; this BuckLite 112 went hunting with me yesterday, the opening day of dove season. I used it to cut some vines and briers that were in the ditchbank where I cut out a spot to be a natural blind. OH

A proto run of smooth black Delrin models offered to BCCI members, till they were gone, right after the start of the smooth yellow versions. I guess the black scales were not chosen for production. I believe 200 of each were made. No 303's made. 300

Good morning everyone! Armand thanks as always and I hope things are better for you my friend.

Nothing new this week, so something old . . . a no pin two liner 110 (and a reflection of me in the bolsters :(: Sorry)

Aye Mateys! Another great SPS. I'm enjoying the working knife pics on this Labor Day weekend.

I purchased this Buck 315 used. I'm sure it was once owned by a Pirate. It's a stowaway in my pack when I hit the high seas or anytime I need to work with rope.

Thanks Armand!! It's always great to see another SPS!:thumbup::thumbup:

wolf dog…thanks for all the pics of your users.
You have some very nice user Bucks in that pile. :)

Herbert…that is a fantastic collection!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks to everyone for posting pictures of their Buck knives!

I have these on my kitchen wall in the wood display box they came win.
Trouble is I never use them. I have other Buck cutlery I like better that get used all the time.

Here are some elk I saw a couple months ago.

Great Start to the Show today!! I like the unused and used ones displayed:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Here is an unused 531+

I was just going to post the white house knife today, but thought it is nice enough out to get the camera and take a couple pics of my most heavily used Buck Knife:D:D

And since the camera was out I had to take a Pearl Pic for the Show:thumbup::thumbup:

Kissing my dinner Goodbye:(:(

Thank you Brother Armand for your dedication to all of us collectors and doing your weekly SPS. Great start on the show today fellow's a lot of fine Buck knives for all to enjoy.

Here is an old transition 110, like me it was born in Califorina, is starting to show it's age and is just a bit worn on the edge's;).

All of the ones shown here are nice.

Hi All,

"Greetings to one and all from sunny California" as we are going into another heat wave for next week. Can't wait for the cooler weather to hit! ...

We haven't topped 55°F today up here in the coastal Pacific Northwest! (Olympic Peninsula) I wish it was just a bit warmer.

Great show everyone. Here in Oregon we have had an extremely dry summer and quite a few trees have died as a result that have been around for decades so I for one welcome the little bit of rain we have been getting lately.

Here is a Buck Collectors Club 501 with damascus bolsters. This is the only one in the series of damascus bolsters I have and would like to eventually get the rest.
