Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

This day in history The Katyn Massacre Beginning April 3, 1940 and lasting thru May 1940. The secret Soviet Genocide of 22,000 Polish prisoners of war. Following the invasion of Poland In 1939, in the spring of 1940, mostly high-ranking Polish soldiers, public officials, and educated professional upper class were murdered by the Soviets. The goal was to subdue Poland thu the removal of leadership. A lot of parallels to what is happening in Ukraine today, The Soviets invading a neighbor under some flimsy guise without declaring war. Interesting read about a horiffic incident most (Americans) have never heard about.

Today (April 3rd) is the last day to get your free Camp Mug with a $100 Order from Buck.

The 120 was a regular catalog item thru 2001 and then took a 10 year hiatus until 2011 when it was reintroduced as a Boone & Crockett edition. It has again been in the catalog continuously since then. Now, having said that, not in the regular Buck catalog does not mean it was not being produced. During the 10 year period between 2001 and 2011 it was available thru Cabela's and there were a few special editions. Shown below is a 120 Pro-Line. The Pro-Line was an added value program thru Cabela's with free life-time sharpening. Of course you did have to pay to ship your knife to Buck for the service. My example this week has an interesting feature, no date code. The sheath, box, and arched choil extending into the sharpened edge of the blade all support that this is an early 2000 knife, not a pre date code specimen.

Thanks Roger for another SPS and a bit of obscure history!

Spent yesterday on my property yesterday getting the tractors and equipment freshened up for spring. When the work was done, I took the jeep down to the bottoms for some R&R. Always prepared for a coyote encounter. Besides a 560 on my belt, I had a couple of other Buck tools on board.

No T tommycopper1 . Just an old iPhone 7, photographed at the kitchen window with closed curtains. That makes a soft light. Like a light tent. When you tip on the lightest spot of the picture with your finger before you shoot the picture, the picture darkens to make the light spot sharp. That usually gives a nice structure to knives.

I hope that was understandable. Sorry for my poor english. But the method is quick and easy and creates pictures like these without any equipment in seconds...

I understood that very well. I own a cell phone for emergencies, it is a 3 month fee and you build up minutes. I have over 2500 minutes built up. Used it once when my defibrillator went off in the cemetery. It worked I'm still around.😇

I really like the shape of the 480 series less the thumb rise, so I made a handle of blue and black G10 to give to my wife's step dad.
Used a 112 slim as the donor as I needed the butt spacer and was going to add the pocket clip as well but didn't. I do prefer the blade of the 482 over the 112 slim as well.
Inadvertently it matches a rod handle I put on last year.
