Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

April 7th fun facts.

No Housework Day, a playful "holiday" to take a break from daily chores to focus on relaxation and self-care instead.
** International Beaver Day (the 4 legged variety)
** 1795 France adopts metric system. All countries in the world are fully metric except 3, United States, Liberia, and Myanmar
** 1827 The first friction match is sold

** 1968, The science fiction classic "2001: A Space Odyssey" premiers.
** 1969, Internet's predecessor, ARPANET, (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network)
** 1970, marked the official end of The Beatles, as Paul McCartney announced his departure from the band.
** 1983, Space Shuttle Challenger's maiden voyage, 10th mission 1986 did not end well.
** 1990, the cult television show Twin Peaks premiered on ABC.

Mr Crappie model 320. The model number is a departure for Buck which always used the 37x and 38x series for the China slipjoints. It is on the larger size coming in at 4.25", the size of a 307 Wrangler, and has pretty good heft. The handles are black smooth bone, very densely dyed and almost like buffalo horn in texture. Usually the China smooth bones are kinda mottly in color but this one is pure jet black. The channel inlay is Abalone surrounded on each side by a strip of MOP. The shield is Nickel Silver... a Crappie of course. They are serialized and the blades are mirror polished 420J2. The secondary blade has an odd shape, I don't know what to make of that. Comes in a form fitted side hinged box. I really like this knife and it was a deal at $25. The thing I don't like is the blade etch is not very dark which detracts. This was a Smoky Mountain project.

Ha, ha, ha, well done Roger😁

Thanks for another Sunday Picture Show. Thanks also to all who post photos and comment.

Don't remember seeing that 320 before or one like it, the secondary blade is truly different and that serrating on the clip blade is unusual as well. Quite an interesting piece.
When was it made?

Never saw one of those before.
Great shield :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Distinctive secondary 🤔

My very FIRST Buck was an OD 422 purchased at Service Merchandise.
A unique 1987 tang stamp.
The sheath was never used as I carried it vertically in a back pocket next to the wallet.

As near as I can figure, mine's pre date code, so that puts it around 1984 or 85. And that sounds like about the right time frame when I would've bought it.

After some research I still can't find a solid explanation for the dot after the 422. I think some bladesmith just looked at the guy working next to him, and said,"Hey ya'll! Watch this! I'm gonna put a dot here, and I'll bet some guys will be going nuts in about forty years trying to figure it out it's special meaning.":)

My first Buck was a 110 that I bought, I'm thinking in 1976. I paid somewhere around $20 for it, and I remember thinking, "Boy, I hope my wife doesn't find out how much I paid for this." $20 was alot of money back then for us. I still have that knife, and pretty soon it'll have paid for itself.:)
