Nice photo of a nice Buck Knife. I was explaining the history of red plaid among hunters and the ‘Red Plaid Army’ of hunters in the years before blaze orange became the safety color of the woods - your background is just perfect. OH

Much like the 124, the Kalinga is a brute of a knife, Not sure if I would want to use one on big game...or small game for that matter. But it is visually striking.

Here's a 408 that was sold with the last of the Joe Houser creations. That was a great era of Buck knives.

Much like the 124, the Kalinga is a brute of a knife, Not sure if I would want to use one on big game...or small game for that matter. But it is visually striking.

Good Morning Gents. Thanks Once More to Roger for the show. Old Hunter I love your Kalinga. Thanks for the post about plaid/hunting. Apparently the experts now describe tartan as being the first digital camo due to its ability to break up the human form. I would guess the old timers did not wear it for that reason.

For review, a 408 Pro customized by Mr. Remer and a 401 with Buffalo Horn scales from the custom shop........

Gary & Bruce, glad you fellas like it. Never got my hands on a standard 408 Pro and while looking on the second hand market I found the Remer edition which wasn't a whole lot more than what folks were asking for the standard 408. Many Thanks to DOGPOUND77

thanks. figured someone should toss one of the quirky folding kalingas up here for the show.

was one of those limited run online releases.....I dont remember when. least a few years back maybe more than a few years.
