Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

The natural kick-off for the February 12th SPS is the model 212. New in the 2018 catalog as a Legacy knife, it was named "Fixed Ranger"
The June 2018 Newsletter shows a 30th Anniversary BCCI verstion called the "Retro Pre-Factory model 112 Fixed Blade". In this case the "112" references the pre-factory 112 Skinner, not the current 112. (see 3rd image) Slightly confusing in the naming as there is a modern fixed blade 112 Ranger labeled as the model 152 for BCCI in 2022. My 212 shown is a Copper & Clad serialized issue of 250 from 2019.

addendum: Arian29 Arian29 's post reminded me of the model 113 named the Ranger Skinner. So... in the 2018 catalog we have the model 112 Ranger folder, a model 113 Ranger Skinner, and the 212 Fixed Ranger. Then fast forwarding to 2022 we have another, the Fixed Blade Ranger, the BCCI model 152. Oh Boy!

Hello Everybody, these are Aluminum frame handles. They are very light . I don't believe that many were made . I believe the top is Paperstone and the bottom is Dymondwood. One number off 035 and 037 on the numbers on the opposite side of the blade. I don't like the weight of these, give me a brass or Nickel Silver and I am happy. The bolsters are easily scratched and dented. They basically came to my house and went right into a case and there they are housed. So delicate to be scratched by a toothbrush. :)

A number of stone handles made by Michael Hoover around Buck's 50th anniversary which he unknowingly put anniversary blades onto the knives. This is the timeframe I had Money so I bought around 50 of Michael Hoover knives, this is when he was selling on eBay. Now he is on Facebook that people set up an account for him, and now they call themselves MODERATORS? If I need something I'd rather go to the direct source instead an unfamiliar person to answer the Question. None are for sale. They are very hard to buy now since he is working with BCCI doing series to be sold to members. The knives he sells now are gone so fast you almost need to sit and wait on his Facebook page and be the first to get a chance to purchase, He has become very popular and knives are spread thin. I believe he is in his 70's and all these knives will skyrocket when he passes. They are made with perfection and nothing less will do for him. They all are beautiful.

Bought this 110 in a clamshell package at a local big box store didnt even look when the clerk handed it to me (I added it due to the inexpensive cost), It came with a leather sheath,
I believed it deserved an earlier sheath. I like the black ebony but really like the lighter wood on this. Thanks for the SPS Roger
Enjoy Pete
