Hello and welcome to the Sunday Picture Show. Share your Buck knives with others by posting pictures of them here. New or old, plain or custom, user or safe queen, one or a collection, we love to see them all. This weekly tradition was started in 2010 by ItsTooEarly (Armand Hernandez) and Oregon (Steve Dunn). Help keep the tradition alive. Feel free to click that 'LIKE' but lets not let it replace discussing and complimenting each others knives. Above all, enjoy the show. DeSotoSky (Roger Yost)

50 Years ago today January 22, 1973
Roe v. Wade ruling
On this day in 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court issued one of its most momentous decisions,
ruling in Roe v. Wade that a Texas statute criminalizing abortion in most instances violated
a woman's constitutional right of privacy. On Friday, June 24, 2022, the US Supreme Court
overturned Roe v. Wade. From 1789 to 2020, there were 25,544 Supreme Court opinions and judgments.
The court has reversed its own constitutional precedents 145 times.

Today is January 22 (122). That begs for this weeks knife to be a Model 122. In addition to the Nemo, Buck recycled the number for a 122 Fillet. For further reading, Joe Houser wrote on the 122/124's in the June 2003 and Dec 2006 newsletters. I've shown the first picture several times before but I always have a chuckle when I call it my Surf n Turf Pair. A 122 upright also exists but I've never been willing to pony up the $ ask.

Good Morning All. I hope this Sunday morning finds you and yours safe/sound. Many Thanks to all who participate. Today a simple 110 LT that I find no fault with. A great example of the value Buck provides,

B BennyBlade always enjoy your hiking pics, the last picture this morning is an eye catcher.

This is my Nemo I bought a a gun show in MA - the negative is the Initials on it but I guess I am lucky to have it, I am told it does have the red bone spacers. In my eyes it is as new. The sheath is not the original.
I tried to sell it once on here, I guess it was meant to stay with me. It lives in a velvet case. Hope I have some Grandsons eventually lol. Roger, again, Thank You for the Sunday SPS.

Thank you. Knives, hiking and photography are 3 of my favorite things. Happy to have a fitting place to share them and glad you enjoy them...

Buddy of mine owns a Buck 122 he bought back when he was young and a diver. I don’t have one but I do have a couple Buck 124 Frontiersman. The 1981 model I bought at a pawnshop years ago and the 2012 was my 30th anniversary gift from my company in 2013. This year I will celebrate 40 years with the company, be interesting to see what is available (if Buck Knives are still in the gift catalog). OH

Thanks again for the Sunday Picture Show and the history bit . Thanks also to all who post photos and comment.

I have an early one it came with flap over sheath so it's a 124, it does have the hard fiber spacers. If I had the Nemo sheath it could be a 122 Nemo, but I don't so it's not.
I like the 122/124 and have a few...

Thanks for your work continuing the SPS Roger! I appreciate the bits of history you post each week too! Here is my Frontiersman 124 that I got just before Christmas last year. Haven't had a change to use it yet.Buck 124.jpg

Now for the 360 BuckTool history lesson.
This is a second generation 360 BuckTool. Note the cut out in the main blades for the nail nick.
The blister pack and sheath were also updated.

Good day to All the Buck Nut's!

Happy SPS, thank you Roger for hosing this weekly event for everyone to enjoy. Also, kudos to all who post photos or add comments to the contents of these shows.

The 124 is one of the Buck knives that hold a special spot in my heart. As a kid I spent too much time at the local Sporting goods stores admiring the Buck knives and wanting one of the big 124's in that case with it's bigger than life appearance and blocky black handle. When I finally saved up the hard earned cash I raced to the Big 5 sporting goods and got to make that purchase. Well, I did not open the box until I got home and to my disappointed surprise the handle was brown (maroon Micarta) and as it was layered micarta it looked to me as buck was trying to simulate plastic wood, at the time I was not a fan of plastic. Little did I know at the time that this variation would become a highly sought after version.
